Moneybookers no longer accepts gambling transactions

Got this email from moneybookers this morning, have done some transfers with them but not in months. Anyway here it is.

Dear xxxxx xxxxx,

Due to new anti-gambling legislation in the U.S. and as you are a resident of the United States, you cannot use Moneybookers for deposits or payouts at online gambling sites.

Nevertheless, you can of course continue to use your Moneybookers E-Wallet and benefit from our easy and secure payment solution elsewhere on the web. Just visit our ever-growing shopping directory and you will find a variety of great online shopping destinations that have integrated Moneybookers as the most convenient payment method available!

Or use Moneybookers to transfer money worldwide. Compared to international bank transfers, you can save significantly because all person to person transfers hold a maximum fee of just 50 Euro cents (EUR 0.50) regardless of the destination! Moneybookers is also the fastest way to pay, because all transfers are instant.

We are looking forward to keeping you as a satisfied customer, and will continue to work hard to make Moneybookers the world's best payment method.

Earlier this a.m. I put up a post
entitled "why the workarounds won't work"
which got moved to the
"offshore enviorment fourm section"

I am a offshore player too, and travel from Nevada to Florida
and would like to know , as a replier to my earlier post
"Cliff" said

Where are these Foreign based debit cards gaming and non gaming issuer's that can be loaded at walmart.??

i would like to get one.

I asked our moderator Wil( who ran an IP CHECK on me , to see if I was in NV , as i origanally listed myself from Nevada (where i was yesterday)
he does'nt know either,

"cliff ( who accused me of working for a casino)
didn't respond, to my ?
and I put up a second a thread
"where are these foreign based debt cards"
( reloadable at walmart he refered to??)

Seems like I was right U.S. players will have to open a Foreign Bank account or Move to Nevada and play cash "to be "Legal

Perhaps WIL the moderator can shed light on
US player Money Transfer options?

Netteller, Moneybookers, and others are complying w/us law

WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS??
Other than what I suggested...any ideas???
Thanks again

they claim that gambling is "bad" even though that's how they make their money.

F these incompetent clowns. You could say they're not so much incompetant as gutless.

F them anyway. There personify why the Germans lost the war and now can only HOPE to sell a few BMWs.

F these clowns.

Dante,

you are correct that Neteller has more balls than most.

However,

Bottom line IS my money is my money and the USA can kiss my ass when it comes to how I will spend it. They'll get theirs.

I am mostly encouraged about how this thing will turn out. Neteller will probably die for U.S. players BUT it's entirely doubtfull we will take this sitting down.

The US players are not a bunch of idiots Neteller so keep that in mind.

We will not put up with any crap from our President or YOU or our Congress.

Please keep that in mind ...

NETTELLER IS DEAD FOR US RESIDENTS

GO TO THEIR SITE AND SEE THEIR NOTICE OF OCT 19,2006

From the notice:

"
Various provisions of the Act, including the obligations of financial transaction providers such as NETELLER, remain unclear. This uncertainty should be largely resolved when the Secretary of the Treasury and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System issue the regulations they are required to prescribe within 270 days.
In view of the importance of these issues, NETELLER has accelerated its review of the Act and all other relevant laws and pertinent developments. The Company also continues to closely monitor the regulatory situation and is determining what actions to take well before the conclusion of the 270-day rulemaking period.
In the interim, US-resident customers are able to use the NETELLER service as normal. The funds of US-resident customers are held in trust accounts and will be available for withdrawal, on demand. The ability to withdraw funds will exist regardless of the customer’s location or ability to transfer to any site."

270 days until a final decision has been made. United States clients can use the site.

They (Neteller) are not dead for U.S. Residents (95% of their business) because they have the balls to continue for now. If they want to have our business in the future they had better not change that.

Nuke Neteller?

I don't think so! :niceass:
