I am probably too young to have anything 'shocking'
But for example, when I was growing up, access to information was VERY limited in the sense that to get accurate info you had to invest a very considerable amount of $ in books (and if we are talking about a fast changing issue........even more for magazines etc)
Right now with the internet I can access a BUNCH of info that before you either had to a) buy the books b) go to the library and spend hours looking for something etc
The cell phone is another thing that you wonder how you lived without it before (then again ......do I REALLY?????? need to be available for EVERYONE all the time??? )
a GPS is another 'wow' kind of thing, spend 100 dollars and you have a device capable of telling you where you are with an incredible accuracy wth you are
I probably would have never imagined having thousands of hours of music in a small box the size of my fist..........those 33 RPM records......were quite large and prone to being damaged........
