Fed Ex cashier's checks!

Sent my 1st one today to Pinnacle, costs nothing if you send 1000 or more as they give you their account # to use. Just went to the bank, gave em cash, they gave me a check and i was on my way.

I can see this NEVER being stopped, NEVER. you can use Money Orders as well, Western Union sells these, 500 bux a piece so it will cost a few bux for them to add up to something, but this is great. Although i feel like its 1998 all over again LOL Got spoiled on Neteller/Paypal and E-checks. To hell with that, this is the best, safest and most fool proof way to go!

Only thing missing is that instant gratification of Western Union, but i burned my bridges with them a while back!

ok so how does this work again, I don't think anyone is worried about getting money to the books, it is getting money back.

Brock, ive been saying this all along....

you get cashiers checks back the same way........ simply deposit them back in your account at bank....

this is absolutely what we are looking at....... do not worry about the small fee's, its part of doing business...... i can see alot here do not own or operate their own businesses or trade stocks or commodities, because people fuss about fee's...... they are part of doing business..........

glad you have figured this out......... patience is going to have to be practiced......

Fees are definitely worth "fussing" about. They raise the winning percentage that must be obtained to be profitable.

the only "fee" i had was the 4 dollars for my cashier's check from the bank, Fed Ex was free, picked up by Pinnacle.

So its basically ALL Free.

thats sort of right but in the long run, thats wrong.... they are merely part of doing business......

i trade stocks and commodities,,,,,, paying a broker for service is part of business... i pay $25 rt,,, i could pay $20 and trade myself but with the broker i get extra service..

fedex will soon be back on top, as the way to send and recieve money offshore......

It's okay to consider it a part of doing business. I am not arguing that. But, it does affect the bottom line just like any other expense. You can't just pay it and not factor it into your P&L.

As of right now, there is absolutely no need to change anything. Neteller works fine.

If that changes, it is very very easy to go to Canada, open a bank account and then open a neteller account. Then nothing changes. I foresee myself making one trip to Canada before I make countless trips to my bank and fedex.

This is a lot easier than going to Canada LOL The thing abot this is its been around since the start and probably is the best option all along, no fees to speak of and its very fast and painless. Not immediate, but 1 day delay i can live with that any tme.

So how does a cashier's check work? Does the teller fill it out and get details of where it's going, etc.?
Or do you just walk up to a teller in the bank and say I would like to purchase a cashier check for $1000 and she says that will be $1004?

I have no idea how this works?

I dont know if books are going to change their policy now, but 2.5 years ago, some books would take 30 or more days for cashiers checks to clear and allow a w/d. I know that cashiers checks are suppose to be 100%, but obviously there is a way to beat them. VIP was obsurd and would not clear funds for 60 days for us before we could recieve a payout from a client of who sent a cashiers check unless we guaranteed it.

Side note.....You should never pay for a cashiers check from a bank that you have an account with.

The bank must have a name for the "Pay to the order of:" blank.

I have done it several times and the money was credited each time as soon as I gave the book the Fedex tracking number. Don't know the time limit for payouts.

exactly..i would like a cashier's check for 2000 dollars, made payable to XX, make sure the remitter is the same name as that on the pinnacle account, and you are off to your local Fed Ex location and off you go!

So Pinny tells you who to make it payabble to first?
The bank doesn't say--do you know this person and all the other WU type stuff right?
