Probably depends on what they can get from a retailer near the winner, is my guess. I think these go roughly $800-1200 retail.

Interesting that a female (Linda) would use "he" rather than "she" in that sentence.

I wonder which regular poster's girlfriend/wife/sister/mother this is. I also wonder whether or not she knows her name is being used to enter a contest with, or if she won't find that out until she picks up the TV.

Maybe the guy killed two birds with one stone ... was up money at SkyBook, so couldn't receive any reload bonuses ... signed up in Linda's name in order to get back on the bonus train ... and won a TV to boot.
