I owe my crazy ex gf money and she is threatning to take me to court, I laughed at her., but the fucked up thing is, I have the money...and have it in cash, and want to give it to her by hand(shes 2 hours away currently at school) but she wont drive here, or even meet halfway. But she wants me to deposit it directly in her bank acct.,

Can I even do that?

Im going to pay her but it would be funny if she made a court date, she has no documents that say I owe her money or anything, would she have a leg to stand on?

fuck, bitches piss me off.:nohead:

The simple answer is yes.

There is nothing wrong with depositing it into her bank acct as long as you have a paper trail (receipt frmo the bank) and a letter from her acknowledging that the amount you will deposit will satisfy all past debts she claims to have against you. Otherwise, nothing can stop her from suing you for something else.

No matter how you resolve it, make sure you get a receipt of some kind.

As for her chances at trial, it is a typical he said vs she said situations. A judge would need to make a credibility determination. Those tend to be hard.

If it was me, i would pay the girl and move on with your life. going to court can be a major hassle.

I have seen people do it. Remember, people do those night time deposits. no one checks for ID. But she will need to give you her account number and information. The bank may give you a hard time.

Why can't you cut her a check or money order?

im going to pay her, the fact is, shes too lazy and tries to make everything a problem, If someone owed me money and agreed on meeting me an hour away, I would do it in a heartbeat.

exactely.

I want her to go through the trouble of making the court shit though, because she thinks shes such a hard ass threatining me. Meanwhile I have the fucking money.

But she always gave me cash...how can she take me to court just on her word?

It should work.

My suggestion is to send her a check with the words "paid in full" on the check. Probably the easiest way of handling things.

or you could send a check and write the words "for sexual services" in the memo field. If she cashes it, scan it and post it here.

You can take people to court for anything. And her word could be enough if the judge believes her. You will then have to testify and lie to the judge. Trust me, that is VERY difficuly. People tend to melt in front of a judge.

And while it would be a pain for her to sue you, it would be a pain for you to have to appear in court and deal with all the crap that it entails.

I am such a loser. But this guy is by far the most entertaining of the TV judges.
