I frequent Vegas about once a year and me and some buddies are headed to Foxwood Thursday morning for the first time. I typically lose some if not all of what I take to spend on these trips. I play Let it Ride and roulette almost exclusively for hours each day. My question is this:

The people that go to Vegas or other casinos and "hit it big", what do they typically play? I mean if I take $3k for three days and wanted to have a shot at bringing home 5-10 times that, what should I be playing? I understand luck plays a very important role but when I hear these big hit stories, I have always been curious as to what the people are playing that I am not.....hate slots by the way so hopefully that is not the concensus answer to his post!

Craps?

I hear you can get on a run at the craps table and hit it big. I have a friend that plays so maybe I can just tail his plays.

I have also played video poker and won a grand or so but seems hard to believe you could make huge money at it. Maybe you can.

Craps for sure.
Also, try your hand at 3 card poker. Much easier to get straights and flushes with only 3 cards. I think straight flush pays 40-1 in most casinos.

Very simple....pass line and all the odds behind the pass line that the casino will let you play! If you have extra money, make a few come line bets, and once again, take all the odds behind those come line points also! Good Luck!

Let it Ride is a sucker game...big house edge. Roulette sucks also though I've rarely played it. Better off playing craps or blackjack in my opinion. These are the only games i have won big at.

Let me make this very simple for you........

1. Video poker--learn PERFECT play and FULL PAY machines.

2. Bonus slot---play only in bonus modes that make for +EV return.

3. Blackjack--play PERFECT strategy and count cards.

4. Craps--play don't pass line and/or pass line and learn to throw dice in a matter that will yield numbers in your favor more(VERY hard to do and you will banned if caught).

5. Play with matchplay coupons that provide you with an edge(2 for 1 pay).

6. Play progressives at table games that provide a +EV advantage over the very longterm(ie-Caribbean Stud).

7. Look for loose change/credits... in/on machines(illegal and you will be thrown out if caught doing so).

Glad you left real poker out of this, smart post.

I seen a documentary about guys who make living getting the loose change, it's a 9-5 for them.
