Was watching game last night when Vikes completed a pass for a big 3rd down conversion, but Referee's changed completion call to incomplete after being swayed by the bitching of the New England Sideline. Vikes challeged, I took it for granted that the ref's would reverse the ruling because it was quite obvious the pass was complete. I changed channels and I miss the review and explanation. The play was reviewed right, or was it one of those plays that can't be reviewed.
After the call was originally made on the field, I said to myself "If they don't overturn that one, they should just get rid of 'instant' replay." Sure enough, after review, the ruling on the field stood. What a joke.
I totally understand the linesman blowing the call. Hey, it was a bang/bang play and he had Belliache, St. Teddy Bruschi, and the other Pats in his face. But to go to the booth and STILL miss the call - unacceptable.

It seems like all the controversial calls went against the Vikes. There was a tickt tack Offensive interference called, and a similar defensive ticky tack illegal contact call against the Vikes. Theisman was all over the ref's for those 2 calls & the non reversal of the incompleted passes. He stated he hasn't lost faith in the reply system, but he lost faith in the competence of this officatiating crew. Those officials should be investigating and definitely fined.
