.......*UCK the Heisman.........start campaigning your TEAM for a BCS TITLE game!

A case can be made for BOISE STATE deserving a TITLE game if they go undefeated WAY more than they can make a case for IAN winning the Heisman.<!-- / message -->

Dante---you have a very fine team there in Boise.

In fact, I think they are the 2nd or 3rd best team in the nation.

Texas -7? Haaahahaa. No. That may be more realistic or maybe it isn't but lines are set due to supply and demand principles not just the actual game and -17.5 is my good guess.

Oh..I forgot. My wish for Christmas this year...my request to Santa would be: Please oh please let Louisville and Boise State both kick ass the rest of the season and let both of them demand attention from the country and screw UP THE BCS WHICH IS A HUGE CROCK. This would help blow up the BCS (or implement huge changes)....and that would be nice to see.

You're right, Fishhead. And that would be great!!

Yes....I not only want Louisville to win, I most likely will take them as a side later on today.

This is a down year for top teams in college football, after Ohio State and maybe Michigan, WVU and Louisville... I really could see a team 'like' a Boise State stunning many big name schools...

The ACC is way down, The SEC has a lot of good to very good teams but not the real standouts of years past, The Pac Ten , similar to the SEC but not quite as good, The Big 12 , another conference with good teams but not great teams...

This is pretty much a year of great balance in sports with not many great teams, it could be a trend we're starting to see, less greatness and more balance...I like great teams personally.

Excellent post on ALL accounts........agree with you completely.......(especially on liking great teams).

You no doubt then were a huge fan of IOWA WRESTLING in the early 80's!

Texas's power rating is no more then 4 points ahead of Boise. They would not be a double digit favorite on a neutral field.I assume you are talking about the 2006 Texas team that was lucky to get by Neb and TT?, not the 2005 national champs?

I only wish they would give me 17.5 on Boise as I'm on that all day. I'd be on Boise even if they were +3 or even laying points against Texas.

I'm not talking about the 2005 national champs but I do believe there aren't as many people in the region to bet up the Boise State Broncos as there are in Texas and the south to bet up the Texas Longhorns. Look, I'm not saying you are wrong to set a real or expected result line at -7 and as Fishhead pointed out....Boise could very well win the contest. I'm just saying the line at the book would be in the double digits or I would be most surprised. And part of the reason that the line would be in the double digits is due to Texas being the reigning nat'l champs. I can't help it that the betting public gets stupid about things (especially around bowl time)....lol!

If the stars align and get these two teams together in a bowl, you had better hope and I had better hope that I am correct in my guess because then we would use your line to determine that Boise State is the HUGE play.

Good luck.

Think what you wish, I don't care if people strongly disagree. Boise St is the better team & I'd lay points with confidence. They should be campaigning for a BCS Title berth!
