Example: Louisville @ Rutgers - next week (both unbeaten)
When making your number, do you take into consideration that Louisville just played and won a tough game at home vs a previously undefeated team in West Virginia, the week prior... and could be ripe for a semi letdown coming off such a big victory, or do you say the hell with that angle and stick to more technical and analytical aspects of creating a number or maybe both.
If so, how much of a role does it play in the rise or fall of your number?
Personally feel there should be no let down factor with Louisville as a win here quite possibly lines them up with the winner of Ohio State/Michigan for all the marbles.
One would think a team wouldn't need any more motivation than that and if so, that is the responsibility of the head coach on the job.
But for now, you have to look at it from all angles and possibilities.
PS - what is your early number on this particular game in question anyway?
