Do you work in a "business" where you deal with liers and cheaters all day long?

The weekends have a new meaning for me. I recently started a new job where I deal with low-lifes and scumbags all day long. I, in my younger years, worked in customer service for a while and there are always ppl trying to lie their way through certain situations to get their way. Now, however, I am a manager in a "finance" business where I talk with ppl and try to figure out weather they are flat out liers or really have sad stories to tell....I am finding that in my life, with this new job, that no matter what situation I am in, or who I am talking with, EVERYONE IS A FRIGGIN LIER. Does your job affect the way you feel about ppl outside of work...I am having a hard time differentuating between the two...its taking its toll on me, as I just assume the opposite of whatever anyone tells me in any given situation I am in....Anyone have these same issues?

About the weekends, I am content in not talking to anyone, family included, and just enjot peace and friggin quiet...is this funny, or sad?

A little sad. Might be time to get out there and find yourself something you enjoy, or a job where enjoy the people you work with.

Don't take it out on your family.

I just recently turned down a job that was going to pay me considerably more money, but the hours, stress, and new boss wouldv'e made me very unhappy. Best decision I have made in my career.

Good luck.

I run a corporate network & deal with entirely to many hardware and software salespeople.

90% of them don't know their head from their ass (let alone the product that they are pumping)

80% of them will blatantly lie to your face as to what & how well their product will do what it's supposed to do.

I owned carnival games for 32 years. Dealt with all the scum of the earth, the best agents, and a ton of crack heads. They made me a fine living(nearly 6 digits a year) and I thank God for each and every one of them.

:lolBIG: ...its one thing to make, and know you are gonna make coing from them, but its another thing to deal with these ppl on a level where you just have to put up with them, hoping you make money from them.

I work in a similar business, but once a year in August this group comes to town that makes it all worthwhile.
