Dont see anyone here saying much about this one. only -250.. This is almost as big a mismatch as Mayweather-Baldomir, which is a mismatch but I think Baldomir will do ok. Briggs in his latest comeback has fought shabby opposition,, and looked pretty terrible doing so. He looks slow and has his hands down. Liakovich should prob KO him in a few rounds, as Briggs has shown his chin can be a bit shaky. Sergei on the other hand, has shown some wiskers against Brewster. I can see Liakovich losing here, Briggs is nothing more than a name and a guy looking for one more payday.. Hopefully next time we see Shannon in a title fight he is doing Boxing after Dark in place of Lewis

Only problem is that Liakhovich is not a big puncher, and Briggs is way more experienced. Also, word is that Briggs has trained very seriously for this one, so he might be able to last 12 rounds without falling down from exhaustion.

IMO, the two most likely outcomes are an early KO by Briggs or a decision win/late TKO win by Sergei. I've got a bit of money on Liakhovich by decision @ +465.

I don't see this as a big mismatch. They are two ho-hum heavies.

skill wise, I do think Briggs is very sub par at this point. Holds his hands low, and throws wide punches. then again, so do alot of todays heavies.. I like Sergei, but I like the under even more as I just looked at the line again

This is barely tolerable. Yuck. I'll gladly lose my bet in return for a spectacular KO.

That was crazy, Sergei goes down with 30 seconds to go, then falls out of the ring at the bell!

yea, it was so bad I was glad to see Briggs get him. Sergei didnt deserve to win, he didnt let his hands go at all. Im glad USA has a new champion, but Briggs looked gassed after round one. I give him credit he used his experience in there.
