Simple question. Is Hines Ward a HOF WR? Granted, he doesn't have the numbers that people would like and I definitely think some WR's with very good #'s will be left out of the HOF (Jimmy and Rod Smith, Johnnie Morton, Isaac Bruce, etc.). However, he is a Steeler and the media adores him. He is also widely considered the best blocking WR in the league and that could get him some more votes than people with better numbers. Also, he does have a Super Bowl MVP. But 1,000 catches/10,000 yards is not the free pass into the HOF that it once was (just like the 10,000 yard plateau for RBs) just because the game has changed and a lot more people are getting to those numbers now...

Under no circumstances - you have to be one of the best of your era - that means he has to be up there with Harrison, Moss or Owens - he's good though - I believe Art Monk just got into the hall like a year ago.

He would have no chance of getting in if he retired today.

Thats what I voted for... If he keeps doing what he is doing I see him in there.. He is the best blocking WR in all of football and that means something..

Marginal at best. Good but not HOF. And I don't think Monk is in yet.

It was Lofton that got in last year. Tons of quality WR's not in the HOF. Reed, Monk, Ellard.........

You never know with the NFL HOF criteria...guys like Monk not being in...I have no idea how that can be....No doubt Hines Ward is a great player in this era...best blocker, nasty football player, gamer, he is what you hope for...also very versatile gadget player.

I think Randy needs one more good season and he's in. Would be hard to exclude him.

hall of famer? no way.
damn good football player who has all my respect after seeing him in person twice a year against cleveland? absolutely. he is a complete wide receiver -- something that isn't often seen nowadays. he blocks as well as anyone. but just not a HOF player. nothing wrong with that.
