This movie blows. Just saw it for the first time, because of everyone hyping it up on here. I enjoyed Bookies and Two For The Money 10x more than this movie. I could have written a better screenplay by filming RX craps table degenerates like myself throwing money on the table and pressing all day long. Throw in a few porn stars, and we'd have a great movie compared with this shit.

agree Cheesburger is amazing what a cast. also like the teller also with his attitude in the first part of the film.

plus the chick Terry Hatcher? she stays with him even though hes gambling like crazy... she starts drinking but stays with her guy!

It all boils down to if you have been going to the track your whole life. If so, this movie is AWESOME. The characters are so true to life and it's great because it is exactly what all gamblers are looking for- that 1 big day where everything comes together and you have the BALLS to go for it. I can promise you who ever wrote this movie has gambled alot in his lifetime.

sometimes when i watch movies i really pick up on little things that most wouldnt...one thing i picked up on that movie that the average person wouldnt pick up on was when he makes his final bet on the horse his buddy tells him not to bet bc its sick or something...
horse was around 50-1 when he went to bet it...something easily overlooked was he just goes to the window and bets the horse...they actually went into detail how when he bets that much money on the horse its gonna knock its odds down to around 7-1...i appreciate that type of stuff when i watch movies like that...ive seen movies where they overlook shit like that and i sit there saying how stupid they are.....
