I referred a friend of mine again last week to Carib. He went ahead and made his initial deposit of $400. This morning, he sent a memo to the staff at Carib and they said that it would be taken care of. I log into my account, to get a memo from them saying that in order to get the referral bonus, the amount of the bonus to be received must already be in my account. This is total horse shit! I've referred roughly 10-15 people in the past 18 months or so, and not once have I gotten the referral bonus. Each and every time it's a new excuse!

You mean you had to have an amount in your account that equaled the amount of the referral bonus?

I know I'm having a problem with BetPop-Payoffs +. I refered a friend of mine since he was looking for a place with great teasers. I called first and spoke to a guy name Ben. When he called to open the account, Ben wasn't there and a guy named Junior handled everything. The only thing that got handled was me. Junior told my friend that although I had an account there, I never funded it. A LIE! Then Junior put down on this guys account that he had heard about them from a football magazine.

I called up Ben and he is getting things straightened out, but this guy Junior really screwed up the works. Ben had told me in order to get the refferal I would have to make a deposit which I did through NETeller when I was on the phone with him.

SiV, thanks for the reply! That kind of sounds like Carib in a nutshell! They promote their "referral" bonus all over the place, but always either come up with a new excuse not to grant it, or go the underhanded route, and change their rules to refelct their lame excuse! I've been with them for about 6 years now, I guess I thought wrong when I thought that may have meant something! I swear, each time it's anew reason for not giving it to me! In the 6+ years I've been there, I bet I've been active all but 2-3 weeks during that time. And this reasoning this time was not having a total balance equal to the referral bonus I would receive! Which, after memo upon memo, is their way of telling me that my account is not "active." Total B.S. in my opinion!

But, of course, I made the huge mistake of posting this over at MW, and, now I'm nothing more than a scammer! Those assholes over there are useless! The head honcho in particular! Asshole city!

A referral bonus is the hardest bonus to get, I rarely even try. Even the best books make it very difficult, at best.

Needless to say, I agree 100%, I only wish I had you to tell me so before I made the attempt! It wouldn't be that big of a deal if they wouldn't...A) promote it all over the place, and....B) Change the rules as they go.

Set up an account with them during the summer, entered the NFL Handicapping Contest then went sour with my remaining balance. My brother signed up with them last month and listed me as a referral, but was denied due to the fact my balance did not match his deposit. I was using Firepay with them so I'm not sure if I'll redeposit, tiring of the obstacles.

My suggestion is not to Buckpasser. They like to play games! If you just want to re-up with them without any thoughts of a bonus or anything, then maybe give it another go, but otherwise, stay away! Just my 2 cents, though.

As a rule only look for a refferal bonus at a book you are active and funded with.
