I figure we're going to have one of these sooner or later so might as well start it now. Things looking good from some of the early exit poll results and looks like Dems will win at least one of the branches of Congress.

As a poly sci major, this is one of my favorite nights of the year. I will be up until the last state is decided. Hope to have some others in here with me.

20 more mins til the first polls close. CNN reporting that one of the big things Republicans were running on, the economy, has backfired. Exit polls showing that people who listed one of their primary reasons for voting as the economy tended to vote more for Dems than Repubs. Very good news.

Hilary Clinton Presidential Nominee? LOL!!! NO WAY!! -114 is a steal..

A woman running for president? :lolBIG:

If that happens we will be stuck with another 4 years with a republican in the White House..

Anyone think -114 is a steal? Or are the Democrats that stupid to actually allow Hilary to run???

Thoughts??

gyno, you hit this right on the head. i have screamed this for the past couple months, John Edwards will get the Democratic nomination. Democrats must have learned by now that all they need is one red state to give them the Presidency and thus need to go with a southern Democrat. Last three Democratic presidents were southern Democrats: LBJ, Carter, Clinton. Also, if Gore wasn't such a moron and had either A) won his state of Tennessee (first candidate ever not to win his home state, even Goldwater and Mondale won their home states) and B) went to West Virginia and spoke out against.....GUN CONTROL. Overnight WV went from a blue state to a red state because Gore spoke on taking West Virginians guns away from them.

Like Hines said, we need a red state Democrat. Would absolutely LOVE it if Feingold got the nomination, although I doubt he could win (too liberal and twice divorced).

I agree with your southern theroy, but the John Edwards pick is even worse than Hillary. Edwards probably cost Kerry the election last go round (thank God) as much as I hate Bush and his patroit act, Kerry would have been too much to take.

What the dems need is a conservative demo like Lieberman. He would be the perfect choice in this day and age.

Im not thrilled with voting for a demo next year, I at least want someone that is at least semi pro war.

I wish I could be as confident as some of you, but I saw George Bush get elected not once...but twice. That's all I need to know about the people of this country.

First off the - 114 is not really all that good a wager as it seems because the Book will be holding your funds for almost 2 years.
Secondly I think Hilary Clinton would have a very good chance of winning and I will give you 2 good reasons. You are forgetting the power of the Women as they out number Men by a considerable number. Also there are plenty of voters like myself that would vote for Hilary with more confidence because She would have Bill Clinton at her side to help her. The 8 years under President Clinton were some of the best years in the History of this Country. Another 8 years under a President Clinton would be great for this country. I really have no problem with a women being our President ! Hilary in 2008 is great by me !:toast:

As long as the government isn't trying to take my personal freedoms away, we're out of Iraq, and the economy is on the improve, that's fine by me.

Let's also not forget that the leader of the Democratic Party is Howard Dean and it's very well-known that he and Hillary do not get along at all. He will do anything in his power to hinder her nomination.

I agree. Man, woman, white, black-hell, I'd vote for a f'ing martian at this point in time. The GOP has forced me further and further to the left.

The Democratic governor really is working out well in Michigan. :nohead:

I voted to remove her ass out, as will most people on the west side of the state. Unfortunate that the dumb-ass unions will vote her back in only to see their jobs go to Ohio and Indiana.
