Does anyone else think George Carlin isn't funny?

It seems he thinks he is adding humor to his act by continually using cuss words. It is annoying and not really funny.

And that bow he does somtimes after applause is as gay as it gets.

Some things he says are offensive and not even funny.

Saw George last year...he's not the Carlin of old - thats for sure. 1/2 hour spent calling everyone whores for us being slaves to corporations (no mention of how 1-800-COLLECT saved his has from the IRS though).

I didn't hate the evening, but he's nothing like he used to be.

Dane Cook, another guy who isnt that funny. He just says the same thing over and over trying to get you to laugh.

I find him hilarious. Not as sharp as he used to be, but still damn funny.

i saw his show in vegas about 4 years ago..he was pretty funny...
decided to see his show in vegas again 2 years ago and 1/2 of his show were the same jokes.

Greatest comic ever............used to have his entire albums memorized in the 70's and would recite them in study halls and bus trips.

his last stand-up was depressing and I think that's the one you were referring to. I remember he got stuck on the topic of how people should go kill themselves for about 30 minutes. He didn't look too good either.

Yeah, i noticed that too. He looked all bloated in his face. Was probably his worst comedy special as well...

He's had some great bits in the past. And he can still offer some great insights. Bottom line is, he's someone I'll always listen to--just to hear what he says, whether I agree or not.

Carlin is funny. You havn't seen bad stand up apparently. I've been to clubs that have been dead silent for a 20 minute routine. I'm not a super fan or anything, only seen a bit of his work, but hes funny. When placed in the right moment, swear words work wonders.

same thing i remember about that, just would not stop about the suicide thing. felt sorry for the guy for being so unfunny but nothing close to as bad martin larence was in his last stand up special.

You know who I don't think is funny? Robin Williams. In movies he's ok, but I watched one of his stand ups, and I just did not laugh. Not once.

Carlin is burned out..he had his time...like 20 years ago. Old man needs to hang it up and let people with new material do it right. Anyone who's seen or heard him in the 70's/80's know it's same old song and dance now....and it's just not funny coming out of a 70 yr old man. (yes I'm being sarcastic...but dude is old!!)

Bill Cosby is not the lease bit funny...I could not stand that Cosby Show.

nah, don't even get Cosby involved in this. The best black comedian to this day is Richard Pryor.

Agree bigtime. He is a scmuck. His observational humor really sucks because you can't relate to it.

Dave Attell and Chris Rock are the funniest. I downloaded one of Dave Attell's performances and it was perfect. Every joke was gold.
