Any BoS updates?

I havent been around much as I've been bouncing from doctor to doctor after an MRI confirmed that I had a hole in my articular cartilage behind the kneecap that goes down to the bone (arthritis!)! Gees...I am only 31, just got married and was still very active in sports. Anyways, the DOCS have told me to quit running and playing impact sports. They said just live with it or try surgery which only has a 30% chance to work.......THIS SUCKS! What do pro athletes do that suffer cartilage damage behind their kneecap? My defect is only 4mm right now but they said it will keep getting worse! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any of you guys ever have this or know people who have?

I thnk you can prob play softball. the goal is to minimize repetitive strain to that spot. Running around the bases or catching a fly isn't going to destroy your knee anymore than walking at work. Running 5 miles every day may.

I'd bike, ski, swim to stay in shape and play softball for fun if it was me.
