Stick with stuff you're good at, Rail. College football is not your game.

Rail I love my Trojans too.. But what the hell we blew our chance against Oregon St man.. We are done this year...

But for all you dumbass Pac-10/USC haters do realize we just had a 38 game reg season winning streak broken..

Also Haters when was the last time USC was defeated by more than 10??

USC still plays two top 10 teams (assuming Cal and ND don't lose before then), so that will certainly help their power rating and strength of schedule. Of course, they would have to win out, which is far from a certainty. So their chances aren't as far-fetched as some would have you believe.

They most definitely are in control of their destiny-win out against three bcs ranked teams and ucla and trojans play big ten champs for the glass ball in glendale az. The golden bears may well carjack them. All the whining by the sec, acc, bigeast doesnt matter-they all could have scheduled nd,ark and nebraska too.

All they have to do is win out and hope the Ohio St-Mich game is a blowout. That's all. That doesn't sound like being in control of their own destiny. And what do we do with Rutgers if they win out? How do you tell them that a one-loss team that struggled in many games gets to play for a title, but the team that has played great in every game and proved everyone wrong doesn't get a shot? I'm not saying Rutgers is better than USC. But then again, they might be.

Unfortunately the system will always favor a "name" over an undefeated "little" guy.

best possible scenario... osu or michigan gets upset this weekend (very unlikely i know), say it's michigan. Then they beat ohio st. next weekend and we're looking at a total clusterfuck. How great would that be for everyone arguing for a playoff?

a clusterfuck it is and always will be, with no playoff system in place you get the tower of babel.

A more likely scenario would have Michigan upsetting Ohio State or the Buckeyes just edging the Wolverines, Florida and USC both losing at least once more and then...a Mich.-OSU rematch in six weeks for the title...
bet NCAA officials would be going :realtongu

If they do meet Ohio St and both teams bring their A game , it will be double digits.

In a way I hope it happens.

Still can't believe you said Texas was lucky last year and it took their best effort to barely get by USC....

BTW, I don't have anything against USC or hate them like some....They're just nowhere near as good this season...but then again neither were the STL Cardinals compared to 2004 and they still won.

what? It DID take Texas' best effort and a little luck to get by last year!
