Evander is a long shot...

If Holyfield beats Oquendo tonight I'll be shocked. Just because he did good against Bates means nothing. As far as I'm concerned Holyfield went two rounds with a heavy bag. After 4 rounds with a boxer who sticks and moves him, Holyfield will be gassed. And then Oquendo will box his ears off. I give Evander a punchers chance in the first couple of rounds, after that he's done. Holyfield looked terrible against Donald... a shot fighter... we are supposed to think he has somehow regained his ability because of his last fight against a garbage man?

Holyfield claims he was suffering from some heart condition for the last several years and said that it kept him from breathing right which in turn effected his training and fighting. He blames this problem for his pathetic performances against Toney and Donald, and says that he's finally healthy now.

All that may be true, but it doesn't change the fact that he's 44 years old and mostly shot. Fres is a solid fighter, he weighed in at 217 which is very low for him, he's in great shape, trained by Freddy Roach. I thought Fres beat Byrd convinsingly but got hosed by the judges. Fres was ahead of Tua when he got stopped late, he was even with Ruiz when he ran out of gas and got stopped late. At 217 I think Fres can easily go 12 rounds and I don't see Holy making a big push late in the fight, he's just too old.

Btw, I think Brock could have a few good moments but Klitschko should be too much for him by the late rounds. Klitschko is sooo much better than McCline, Big Time was a Big Bust against Brock. Obviously Brock has to get inside but it takes balls to kepp coming forward when your getting blasted by huge straight right hands and a stiff, heavy jab.

Just in case, I'm only playing Klitschko and Oquendo in parlays at even money

-159 now. I'm going in for one unit.

Dunno if the fix is in. Methinks that a bunch of old Holy fans just found out that he was fighting tonight.

pinnacle only posted two way action on this fight until a few hours ago:i put a grand on oquendo to win;if it is a draw,is the bet considered a push,or is it considered a loss since they have posted now the whole pacquage of possible outcomes ?

All small plays so I won't lose much either way, but we did get in Honorio at -165

As for my other plays...

Sam-Mirovak Under 10.5 +190....was a value play as Mirovak is 40 years old and has been stopped several times, Sam is not a great fighter but he has a big right hand. I read that Sam rocked Mir several times in the fight but didn't go for the kill...oh well.

Hunter over Molitor +121....was also a value play as the fight was in Hunter's backyard and Molitor had been inactive lately. Hunter is a come forward brawler with a high work rate so I figured he would win some rounds, but he needed to make it to the cards for the hometown advantage to kick in...oh well

Small plays at decent + money...no biggie
