Sat Nov 11, 2006

On the Tim Russert show this week, Tim and 3 other's including David Gregory dissected the '06 elections. Lot's of the same stuff we have been hearing, and then at the end they started talking about the upcoming race in '08. All agreed that McCain and Billary might have trouble about their stances on the war. Russert pointed out that in '04 only Howard was against the war, and now Obama is huge due to his opposition.

Then Tim says, There is one other guy who was against the war who was in the Senate, and served in the White House, Al Gore. As he spoke his face lit up and his eyes twinkled.

At that point Davis Gregory chimed in, He wants to get into it, I know he does. Gregory didn't explain how he knows this, but sounded very excited and confident. As a psycotherapist, one learns to read body language and verbal cues like tone and facial expression. One thing is sure, Gregory believes this whole heartedly.

No wonder Carville was sending shots Dean's way. After Dean won the chair, one pundit said that Gore was the big winner, should he choose to run again.

I am waiting for the hysteria about the GOP to die down. The Dems are going to get zippo done and then assume they are in the driver's seat and nominate someone the public doesn't really support. Then watch the GOP get desperate for a win and nominate someone they can get moderates to vote for.

The best thing that happened in Election 2006 was that the ultra-conservatives and the bible thumpers were told to get lost. They won't go away, but their grip on the GOP was seriously loosened. Billy Frist and his stupid last minute conservative run will insure he is shown the door first in the campaign.

If Congress does little and the Dems get bold and put in a real lefty, this race will be an easy win for the GOP. They won't spend too much time on the Congress, they will put it all in for the WH and win. Seems absolutely stupid, but now one side is taken care of, all of those who want real quality government now need to back the GOP and make sure gridlock wins. Because without gridlock, we all get screwed.

Thats what we do over here, gridlock the Bastards.

Then they spend a huge amount of time fighting each other instead of messing up our lives.

Would be pretty hilarious if the US voting public cottoned on to this tactic.

Put simply I would ALWAYS vote Rep for the house and Dem for the Senate.

This would let me vote for the "best man" for the Presidency, which, if both houses belonged to one party, would be the completely opposite party, even if the guys name was Kermit and he was made of green cloth.

I'm lukewarm on Gore '08 but there would be some justice in it. It's like when a team gets screwed by the refs, you wanna see them catch a break later. Gore over Hillary for sure.

Aside from inventing the Internet and coming in second the first time he ran, what has he done? He can't win cause he does not know much stuff.

Gore won the popular vote in 2000 and then Bush stole the election with the hanging chads bs in Flordia.

If Gore runs he wins again

You are really upset that you got a tax cut? Can't you allocate the extra money that you kept better than the government

Levi,

I was referring to Bill Clinton. He admits that he is a millionaire. I donate money to several Veteran homeless centers in the city.

Good for you, Lt. Now if only you could see how badly the Draft Dodger decimated and demoralized the Armed Forces with his deep defense spending cuts, which only left the country more susceptible to attack, there might be hope for you yet.

Jose,

I knew Clinton did it. You should see his digs in Harlem. He guided the planes across the East River that hit the WTC. Remember... Don't ask, don't tell. LOL!
