george st pirerre +139 over matt hughes
really havent done well last few picks but i was on st. pierre when this fight scheduled in september before st pierre injury and im not getting off. i had hughes vs penn but penn showed alot of weakness to hughes game in that fight. st. pierre i believe becomes next great champion.

pierre jumped up to +141 at pinny but i know alot of fight sites where pierre is slightly favored with bettors so im expecting a big push in money on st. pierre by saturday evening when most players bet.

I hate Hughes with a passion, but he has my utmost respect as a fighter. I'm driving all the way to Sacramento to watch GSP kick Hughes' ass. I wouldn't play on this fight though, as I'd never bet against Hughes' heart. But Sylvia and Vera I like.

5* brandon vera over frank mir
frank mir has still not fully recovered from that bike accident. mentally yes but physically he is letting himself go. he looks like total shit and sources always say how disinterested he is in his training. its a shame because he was a great talent. he lost as a huge favorite vs. cruz and went distance with a scrub his last time out. vera is the real deal and is very crafty. he will get next hw title shot vs. slyvia/monson

From the look of Mirs last fight he should no longer be involved in any UFC fight. That was pathetic.

Tell me about it...I was 20 feet away. That was followed by the Sylvia/Orlovsky borefest and Ortiz/Shamrock debacle. Had to be one of the worst UFCs ever.

Mir is a local boy and the LV paper ran a story on him...he is reportedly training harder than ever and is in great shape. I'd love to see the guy that snapped Sylvia's arm again, but he has yet to step up against far inferior competition.

I've always liked Frank, but I just don't know if he has it in him anymore. UFC needs SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, so step up and be a bonafide top 10 Heavy (probably lower top 10, b/c Pride has probably 6 of the top 7).

Or they need to get off their wallet and bring one of Pride's HW in (cro-cop). I wouldn't be surprised if Liddell beats Ortiz that he goes up just to win the belt....unless UFC brings someone in for him to fight, that would be a bigger challenge and probably one he'd win against either Sylvia/Monson.

Anyone notice how big Chuck's gut looked during TUF 4?

Brandon Vera is an awesome fighter. This may be Mir's final fight in the UFC. He is awful, but since he is a hometown Vegas boy, his prices are not as bad as they should be. Crush Vera here.

Well, i felt the same about Mir, but looking at the Weigh in, I dont think ive ever seen him look in that good of shape. I still think from What ive seen in Vera that he has too many different gears. Remember Mir going life and death with Wes Sims until Sims was dq'd for kicking to the head while Mir was down. I think Vera is the play here, but price is high...

I also have a feeling that Sylvia loses this fight. Monson has the style to beat him if he is smart.

I also like St.Pierre here. He cant afford to make a mistake. His stand up is far superior.. Hughes will find a way to get it on the ground.. St.Pierre has to mae sure he gets back up
