This kid gives 110%...the concussions are going to come more frequently. Of course no one is going to shut him down, he's going to have to do it himself.

Hope his peeps talk some sense into him. I'm sure football is his life but football is about to take his life.

Most NFL players have terrible existences when they are done playing. The body was never intended to go through the kind of abuse they go through. When my brother got a concussion as a kid, the doctor said if he had another, he couldn't play football in high school. They are very serious. But it's nothing for NFL players to have tons of concussions and keep on playing. I think it's Howie Long that said he has a headache for hours every morning after he wakes up, simply due to all the pounding his body took playing the game.

Much like boxers....brain damage is an accepted part of that big fat paycheck for quite a few.

That's why guys with brains, Tiki Barber, Robert Smith, get out of the game before they go thru too much pain.

He has already had 6 concussions?? Wow, that's sad, at this pace could definitely cut his career short. No reason to jeapordize the kid's health either this season, they aren't going anywhere.

If he was a QB they would have made a huge deal out of it.

The way Robert Smith did it is the way I would have done it. Get in, experience some good times, make some money, and leave somewhat healthy.

I think the problem for a lot of guys is they have nothing to fall back on/nothing to do with thier future. If I remember right, didn't Robert Smith have a Law degree or something like that?

Robert Smith had a degree in Physics or Neurophysics or something like that. Very smart dude. Sat out one of his years in college to concentrate on academics.
