I was just wondering are any of you guys going to line up for a shot at this system just to sell on ebay? If so how long should we wait for? Has anyone waited for this overnight via the 360? Are we safe lining up overnight or I even heard some people line up two nights before which is crazy...

I will visit the local Toys R Us next to work down here and hope to get lucky....no lining up here though. You can line up at a best buy and will not get one...i used to work there...all the employees buy them up first and leave about 5 for the public.

Are you serious? I thought they got rid of that policy b/c its so rare they want the customers to get it first

Mikey..I can help you out...

Last year I camped out for the 360 in Jacksonville, FL. I called around to find out who would actually get the 360. Most stores were. Also there was a great website that had how many 360's each Best Buy was getting. It was amazing. That way when you go to camp out you can see how many people are in line and if you'll get one.

I had to work till 11pm last year. But during work I called Targets around me to find out if people had lined up. I think some did by 8pm which I thought was crazy. Some had more people in line than they had 360's in the store. So I knew which ones not to go to. Best Buys got the most I think. Toys R Us had the least. I remember one TRUs had like 3 people in line cause that's all they were getting. I wanted to go anywhere I still had a chance to camp out. I thought Best Buy would be the first place for most people. I decided on Target so I headed there.

I went home after work, got my stuff, and went to a newer Target in town. The people in line did their homework and knew how many 360's Target was getting. So I saw that if I got in line I had a chance.

Camped out al the way till 8am I think. Went by surprisingly fast. Luckily I'm in Florida, and even thought it was freezing, I dressed warm. I heard some places it rained and even snowed. That's tough. They passed out these vouchers for the 360 at 7am (early). They said we had until noon to come back to buy them. If we didn't, then we'd lose our chance. I think Target may do it the same way but I'm not sure.

But I know for the 360, people were camping out at Wal Mart, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, Costco, and Toys R Us. All those places do not take preorders.

A 24 hour Wal Mart might be a good shot because people were allowed to wait inside the store so they stayed warm. However people lined up for that SO early in the day. Starting that morning I think.

I felt so safe at my Target. There were a lot of people (20 or so). Well lit. There was a security guard driving around in the parking lot. If we had to piss we went to the side of the building. Everyone in line was pretty cool. I made sure I brought enough things to keep me busy. I read some people brought TV's with a DVD player run by a generator.

BUT if someone wanted to rob people in line it was a great chance. People with laptops, PSPs and lots of money all there in the middle of the night.

It was amazing some people showed up the morning Target opened to buy a 360. Clearly they had no idea people were there in line 8 hours earlier or more to get one. They just thought they could waltz right up to get one. I shook my head at them.

So I dont' know if you need to camp out two days early. Some stores may not let you camp out that early. But I would suggest going as early as possible.

Just be safe when you camp out. Watch your stuff. Don't leave it unattended if you're not sure. Just be smart.

I hope to camp out for a PS3 but I think they're expecting fewer units than the 360 last year. Plus Sony is still the leader in gaming so people will be dying to get this. When people saw how much the 360's went for and how much the PS3's are going for now, people are looking to make easy money.

Let me know if I can answer more questions.

Also I know Gamestop and EB Games are expecting way less PS3's than 360's on opening day. I wish I got my butt up early to get in line for a pre-order.

I think at Target they told their employees if they wanted a 360 last year, they had to camp out just like everyone else.

Thx Benny,

To me I just think its a great opportunity, I waited for the preorder all summer but didn't know when it came out and when it did I had no idea and is gone,

I'm planning to camp out at Best Buy the night of, I'm sure I'm not alone, I have asked them how many they are getting I got one answer: We are getting more then 8, so I have no idea what the numbers are, I think its wroth the time if u do make a G on it, now that u brought it up the peeing thing will be a problem... where would I pee if I need to go?

anybody else think 360 and ps3 are a bit over-rated? Personally, I'll be going for the innovative Wii this generation.

The good thing bout this lineup is perhaps you are able to get one or the either? Anyone know if we are able to buy both systems?

no doubt I want the wii over those other 2 stations. It is cheaper and looks more dynamic. I might get the ps3 as well but I do plan on getting the wii regardless.

Forget Toys R US the Managers are the one selling them on Ebay. Atleast here they are. I meet on one time to pick up a Xbox 360 that I bought on Ebay. I ask him and he said why else would you work here if you didnt get the benifits of bying and selling the hot toys. I guess they make alot off of the Hot toys at Christmas to make it worth working there all year.

Just depends on the store. I know all the Best Buys around here you could go to the side or the back to piss.

Trust me, people will find a place to piss. They have no choice when they're in line for hours and hours.
