Just a complete scam, not even worth talking about.

8 team playoff would work well this year. 16 teams, even better year-to year.

lots of deserving teams will be told to go away instead of settling anything on the field. fans need to withhold their money from supporting this sport until its finale is done honestly, settled on the field and not a matter of votes and politics.

is this ice skating? settled by judging who is best?

because then it is a scam. and it is.

Michigan is dead by the way. almost ZERO chance.

people forget fast. they will watch teams like USC, Florida, Arkansas, etc. play multiple big games and Michigan will fade to black come voting time.

WE NEED A PLAYOFF!!!!!

For all the debating the BCS brings, I think it serves its purpose. Look how many conversations and debates it brings. While I would love to see a playoff system because we would have a ton of great matchups, I think the BCS is good for college football in its own way.

Playoff system is right in front of there eyes. Just use the BCS games has the quarterfinals. Then all you have left is three extra games to finish. What you have now is 3 meaningless games dressed as some great BCS game that means nothing to no one. I mean who really cares about any of those games unless you have a play on it. Why can't freaking Utah move on after crushing Pitt instead of it meaning absolutely NOTHING

Playoff would be interesting, but come on what does it matter this year? Is there really any debate about who deserves the title should they beat whoever they face in January? This discussion about who should play them seems a bit shallow, good for debate but sort of meaningless in terms of deciding who gets the crown.

Would anyone outside of Ohio St./Michigan fans even care about todays game if there was a playoff system? The outcome would be irrelevant.

Say what you will about the BCS, but every week matters.

What are you talking about, you were playing for the big 10 championship, thats nothing to play for.

In terms of a National Championship, the game is meaningless with a playoff system. I couldn't care less who wins the Big 10 - again, OSU/Michigan fans do, I don't.

if this system is good and creates debate, lets adopt it to the NFL. no more playoffs. :think2:

NFL teams with winning records go to bowl games.

Im hearing the crickets chirping already.

one of the reasons, there are many, BCS is a scam

If Wake Forest went undefeated this year, they would not get in. If Miami or FSU went undefeated this year, they would get in. So some teams have no chance at all every year. some entire conferences have no chance. If Rutgers went undefeated this year, they still would not get in.

play it out on the field.

You can't compare the NFL to the NCAA. Look how many teams you have in the two.

In the NFL, EVERY team can beat you. In college football, there are massive talent differences. Rutgers could go undefeated but would not DESERVE a shot. They didn't play anyone.

The NFL can't schedule cream puffs.

In most years ,the loser probably would not even get into the playoff which would add to this game in most years.
