No I believe you are correct. However as I read the BCS fine print, I think there is an at large exception if the same conference has the number 1 and 2 teams playing for the BCS championship. However it reads very tricky so I guess We will hear more about it. I think Mich/Ohio State 2 will happen if USC should lose to Notre Dame or UCLA. However if USC wins out I think they will pass Michigan.

No more then two teams from any conference can get into BCS bowls is the rule but maybe their is a exception if 1 and 2 are from same conference

Just can not be enough room for these 2 + wiscy + Notre Dame....

Could you imagine if Purdue would have gone unbeaten in the big 10 and they would have recieved the Rose Bowl Bid and these 2 (mich and OSU) would be playing for the National Championship and neither would have even been the conference champ!

Just looked at cbssportsline bowl projections and they have ohio st. and Michigan in Feista.

So no BCS bowl for wisky

http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/bowls/predictions
Have west Virginia and USC in Rose

and Wisky in the capital one
If this is true , it just goes to show what a total farce this BCS s-it is ! It really is unreal IMHO You should note however that right now Michigan is number 2 BCS but if USC wins over Notre Dame and UCLA... I'm pretty sure that USC will pass them. I'm not saying it is right or wrong but it just proves once again how silly this is and how much We could use a 3 team playoff after these bowl games and yes... Wisky should be in one of the 4 final big bowls!

Glendale Ariz gets a January 1 (fiesta) game and the National Championship game?

when th fuck did they start this?

I forgot this is year one of the new system so the January 8th game each year is just going to be called the NCS game?

and the other 4 bowl games no longer rotate the NCS game?

Just go to a dam playoff system NCAA

I agree Kermit if USC win out I think they pass Michigan and play in the NCS game and that would move Michigan to the Rose Bowl against USC

I think what everyone is forgetting is that USC needs Arkansas to win out against LSU and Florida or their SOS will drop and probably let Michigan play tOSU again.

Wait a minute ! USC can't be playing in the Rose Bowl against Michigan and the Fiesta against Ohio State ! I'm sure they could beat them both with a few days rest but I think you got the wrong teams in the Rose Bowl !

I think that USC would still pass Michigan if they beat Notre Dame and UCLA. Arkansas winning helps you are correct but remember that the polls still account for 66 2/3 % and USC would be ranked number 2 in the polls if they win out. Do you recall a few years back when USC was ranked number 1 in both polls and didn't even get invited to the BCS game ? Well that is why the BCS changed their phony formula and have given more credit to the polls to prevent that from happening again. If USC wins out... I'm pretty sure they will go !

LA Times had an article about a week ago where they went over the possibility that the Rose Bowl would be USC vs Rutgers and how they hated that.

With a rematch of tOSU and Michigan, the Rose Bowl would choose USC and another BCS team not from the Big 10. Back then, the no brainer would be Rutgers since they were undefeated but now it sets up a rematch scenario with USC vs Arkansas(if they beat Florida) or ND.

If there is a rematch, I'd like to see USC vs Florida in the Rose Bowl.

The NCS game rotates, it was just done because remember they made a big deal about how they were adding BCS spots so the little conferences had a shot to get a spot if they were worthy as well? This was their answer, instead of adding another lower bowl game, just make one game an NCS and you have essentially created 2 more spots.

The Rose Bowl basically gets first dibs on any Big 10/Pac 10 team that is in the BCS and not in the title game. They don't have to take them though. Rose Bowl is a game that never has to worry about selling tickets, but one has to wonder when it will ever have another "old school" matchup.

I understand that the human polls are 2/3's of the BCS, but USC is already #2 in the Harris and USA Today Poll, the computers are putting them at #3 right now.

I can't express to you enough how stupid I think this BCS system is but all I know is that the experts clearly say that if USC wins their last 2 games , they will be in the Championship game. go to www.bcsfootball.org/bcsfb/rankings and you will see how complicated it is.
