Just think in the NBA this is business as usual. In the NFL you have to ask permission to dress like this. WTF?

My buddy this morning said of course you have to ask permission. Just think of the thousands in "on field" merchandise they didn't sell. Looking at Bill, just think how popular his "look" would be in an NFL fashion line with truck drivers and other assorted beer-swilling Americans!

I believe the suits Del Rio and Nolan wore were Reebok made, thus they were declared "legal." I guess the clothes police have too much to do, making sure players socks are knee high and can't begin to look what coaches are wearing as well.

Let's go with the baseball look. Make the coaches wear football pants and uniform jerseys with numbers.

If you think that's absurd, then look at some of those guys wearing baseball uniforms. Horrific! We should be working on phasing those guys out of uniforms and into something more appropriate. Most of the managers don't even bother wearing the uniform shirt anyway--guys like Francona and Piniella would go with the warm up top anyway.

Let the NFL coaches wear what they want. I love Bellichick--he's just making a mockery of the "official" gear rule. ("I gotta wear something out of that catalog? F-U, I'll take a POS sweatshirt and cut off the sleeves. How's that?) The funny thing is, that sweatshirt thing is catching on. Look at Weis and Al Groh and a bunch of these guys. Classic.

Good for Mike Nolan and Jack Del Rio! More guys should wear suits or, heaven forbid, the Hank Stram blazer. ("Sixty five toss power trap. Sixty five toss power trap, boys. Woo hoo...")

Actually i thought about starting a thread about the dress code in the NFL and if the league tells the coaches what to wear. I think i was watching a titans game, all the coaches were wearing the same style gear it all looked new and the design was the same. Even the opposing coaches had the same exact design but with their own team colors. And when i flipped and checked the other channels on nfl ticket, majority of the coaches were all in the same stuff. I thought the league some how "advised" them to wear that stuff..

On another note, why in the heck do they only sell that gear online? I really like most of the stuff the coaches wear (not talking about nfl jerseys) but you cant find it in any store. I am very particular about the clothes i wear and hate buying clothes online!!!!

Why the heck dont they sell these outfits in reebok outlets???
