How about a Samsung 19 inch LCD monitor for $149.........will probably try and get one of those.

$1,699 for a 50 inch plasma ,saving $1,300, is this the actual regular price, or some jacked up price?

How much do these stores make on this stuff!!?? If they can give it away for that price?

Well of course most of these are what the market call them "loss leaders." They wont have more than MAYBE 5 per store and you would have to get there 5 hours before opening to be the first 5 in line. Now maybe those first 5 wont be buying that, but you need to get there at LEAST 1 hour early to get some of the best deals.

Loss Leaders get you into the store where hopefully you will buy other items that are NOT on sale

Come on, they can't cheat that bad without a public backlash. There is no way in HELL that Best Buy runs an ad like that and only has 5 products in the store.

What a bunch of crap, 5 in store...I wouldn't waste my time leaving my house on Thanksgiving Friday.

I thought the deal was for anyone who wanted one...what a crock...I thought I read earlier that you would get a credit if the store ran out....What a bunch of BS.

Actually GENIUS, the ad says minimum 5 per store. You really havent been shopping the day after Thanksgiving have you TTINCO?? All items are limited except for the CD's and movies

By the way, this is great time to be living in small town Iowa in cities that have a BEST BUY and are under 40,000 in population.

Either way that is BS...Can't see waiting for the 'possiblity' to land one of these supposed deals...shoot, they may not even have it.

Thats the chance you take.

But there are TONS of deals throughout the entire store on EVERYTHING........thus the trip is worth it.

My son wants the Nintendo DS. It is $99 from the ad. That is $30 off of every other store right? And is that the same as the Nintendo DS LITE?? I really dont want to buy this as then he needs the games of course as well

These "limited" items are gonig to be gobbled up by the early birds. That's what causes the trampling, pushing, and violence. The store opens at 5AM. If you think getting there at 4:30 is early enough you're crazy.

Last year people started lining up after dinner. Some stores this year open at midnight so people will just shop there and then head to Best Buy to wait in line.

I will look at the ads and see if anything I need is on sale. But it'll be later in the afternoon.

Best Buy is a good store to see the products in action. It's great to get a feel for the product and have a close up view as well. However, Best Buy is NOT a best buy when it comes to prices.

You can easily find the same products sold at Best Buy, online, and up to 30 off % their price, with free shipping and no sales tax.

You might want to ask a moderator to edit that link (if it bothers you in the first place), but I could see where you "might be located" based on the nearest Best Buy store in that link.

The link had this part, "&storeid=xxxxxxx" (numbers), which could be removed by a mod.

Just helping out... and related to the topic at hand, I got the Walmart print ad today myself about Friday 5am-11am only sale as well.
