That kid will probably be a good ball player but wouldn't call him a phenom. And yea the person with the ball seems way too close. Usually its a toss into the air, hes just dropping it and getting his hand the f outta there as fast as possible, asking for a broken hand.

looks like the ball is jumping off the kids bat...nice delivery...looks like a natural baseball player...tough to tell how good he is from that footage though...

have you guys ever done the dollar bill trick? where by some one holds a dollar bill above your open palm. Its almost impossible to catch the bill when they let fall

I didnt have my sound up so i dont know if the guy with the ball was signaling before he let the ball go..

If he was signaling, then the kid does have good hand eye co-ordination.

Doesnt look all that good to me. Looks like pop-fly's, and the kid will have a sore back. Also, seems like the 'pushy father' is the one that is doing all the work. Pretty much sacrificing his hand to make sure the kid hits it. Also, the kid is 7.... its not like hes 3 or something.

That is a good stroke for a 7-yr old, I've watched 9-10 year old all star teams in Las Vegas and San Diego and very few kids at this level, especially in terms of bat speed

Hopefully that kid goes places, but there are a lot of kids out there that can duplicate what that kids is doing. Not to brag, but my kid is 9 and has already jacked a 200 foot home run and he has a cannon for an arm. There definitely is not too many kids at the age of 9 that can jack one 200 feet.

Good mechanics. Good stance. Front toe pointing in slightly will help avoid a dropped shoulder. Handles himself well. Pretty quick bat. Potential is there.

But looking at him is like looking at a weanling in the sales ring at Keeneland. I'd like to see the pedigree.
