Now, even they suck.

This is totaling embarrassing for the Detroit Lions, their fans, and the city.

What a disgrace.

No, I didn't bet the game.........this is a completely unbiased opinion.

I am a former season ticket holder and the Lions (sadly) are still my favoirte SPORTS team, but they are beyond pathetic. If (and this is a big if) they do ever get this turned around this city will embrace them more than any city can embrace an NFL team. Just sucks every year being bad in a league that is set up for parity.

when you consider they were largely a one man team with barry sanders, this organization hasn't put together a roster full of winners in over two decades

2 decades? They have won 1 playoff game in 50 years.

i was only speaking for as long as i've been alive and remembered them.

for some reason i though they made a super bowl a long time ago. if they only have one playoff win then i remember it well against dallas. erik kramer actually played good that day.

Well, the agony of this game is almost over.

Wow, what a boring game that was.

Detroit Lions arguebly the worst franchise in professional sports, continues to be forced on us every Thanksgiving. Had enough of them last year and decided to boycott the game this year and every year from here on. Didn't bet it, so had no need to check on it, didn't miss them at all. Let them play Dallas every Thanksgiving and perhaps the NFL can come up with a quality second game for the national audience. Starts with the owner Ford, when he is no longer there, possibly then the Lions can at least reach mediocrity.

My earliest rememberance of a Detroit Lions Thanksgiving day game
was the 1962 game against the Green Bay Packers when the Lions led by Alex Karras and company sacked Bart Starr 11 times while dealing the Packers their only loss of that championship year by a score of something like 24-12 in old Briggs stadium in Detroit. Natrually being from Boston I watched it on TV. I was 14 years old and had no idea what a spread was, nevermind what it actually was.

at 14 years old was just getting envolved in playing blackjack with schoolmates and at the local fair, it eventually became an epidemic at our High School. and had to be addressed by the principal...

later, at 16 years old, the Quebec Government introduced parlay cards available on all sports....

lets just say, wether good or bad, thats when I became hooked for life.

My earliest thanksgiving day football memory was an OT game against Chicago in 1980. As a young 10 year old Bears fan Dave Williams returned the OT Kickoff for a BEARS WINNER!!!

Absolutely true. My first real exposure to a point spread was the famous Notre Dame/Mich St. game in 1966. I took Mich St plus 4 points for $5 from the bartender in a restaurant where I washed dishes. The game ended in a 10-10 tie - lucky me.
