Funny you should post this because I just got back from Wal-Mart.

I now know why they call it "Black Friday". I have never seen so many black people in my life. (Michael Richards gave me that.)

I had to turn around and walk out. Everyone had that one LCD tv on sale and it was just a complete madhouse. Cops everywhere. I felt bad punching those two old ladies trying to get out of that nut house.

....................this BLACK FRIDAY is costing me more money than saving as I'm spending $89.40 on gas, missing out on numerous sportsbetting bets/scalps/middles, and the cost of the pacemaker that i will have to have put in my body in 2-3 years for the fuking heart troubles this shit is giving me.

I need my freaking head examined.

Arrived at BestBuy thinking that would be plenty of time as doors don't open til 5am. Wrong!

Pull up and the line is already a mile long of people who appaarently have been camping out since 9pm the previos night. Blankets, food, drink, snacks, gargbage all over, people trying to take cuts, pissers/moaners, cops alll over.

Around 4am they start passing out tickets and I fail to get one as my sorry as is wayyy in the back freezing balls. Around 5am everyone goes in and I head over to the computer secttion.

Now we have another big ass line to wait in for service as workers one by one will get you what you want from the back.

More arguing between peoples and emotions are running high.

Line moves down some and I get to about that half way point of getting my goods when a clerk steps up on one of mini reach/lift trucks and anounces, unless you have a ticket, everything in the 7 hour sale newspaper ad has been sold out.

Wait through all that dealing with peoples bullshit for 2.5 hours and finally leave at 6am with nothing.

Now I know why I don't shop and will not be going for sales anymore on Friday after Thanksgiving.

Its not worth it and the hell if Im going to camp out overnight in shit weather.

Where do they get these people from? Madness.

Unless it's for groceries--I ain't stepping another foot in a store till 007. I went today like an idiot--bought nothing when I saw the lines and people. Lost my appetiete for shopping entirely. I will spend LESS than ever this year.

The news was saying the average consumer spends $800 during the Christmas shopping season.

Damn, I am getting old.

I am one who enjoys to go on black friday to watch everyone stress and cry. I get no better enjoyment than to watch emotions run high. Saw two ladies about to duke it out over some toy that the store had one left.

Went to Kohl's with the wife and was in and out in an hour. If you have a game plan it should not take all day. Still have toys to get but all of the clothes shopping in done.

I also enjoy going on christmas eve. You would not believe how many people will openly cry as they have waited until the last minute to try and get that last toy and the store is sold out.

I do understand I am a bit strange in the aspect but it is a holiday ritual that I must go through!!!! :)

I live in the Great White North so this stuff is something I've never experienced. Don't these items go on sale eventually anyways? I mean, how much can you save compared to what seems like a major aggravation factor?

Does this make sense to anyone here--It makes NO SENSE to me.

A few nights ago on the evening news one of the major networks reported that spending for the holiday shopping was expected to be down this year because the housing market had cooled. That was the exact words and I just find that impossible to believe. I think they are so far out of touch with mainstream America it has become ridiculious! I mean do people here actually make their holiday spending decisions based on if the housing market is hot or cold!

Maybe I am the one out of touch! What do you think!:nohead:
