Why do you guys allow this?I've seen quite a few posters here who start posting their records but as soon as they start losing they automatically say they lost track but they're still up for the year...I was up 80 units in the NBA then ran into an 0-9 night Friday. lost almost 30 units but still kept my record intact.I think it's unfair to people here who tail others to mislead them with your W/L .....Stop lying to people cause you suck!!!!!

What do you guys think?

IBETHUGE, that is not a record but by me having to answer you then it ruins it that I posted my record and disappeared....I thought it was funny but now I'm ruining it. Dammit....but I didn't want you to think I was ignoring your question.

Not much you can really do about it unless you want to the legwork FOR them.

And well, I don't really see the point in doing that.

Thuge, of course we care. What is one to do about it? Not everyone does this. I suggest examining the tracker forum or do like I do and go back and review posts by individuals over the last several picks to see how they are doing.

Some people are not very honest. What to do about it? That is the whole point of the tracker forum.

Can't understand why people would follow a poster without them either having a comprehensive writeup and reasoning for their selections or a long-standing track record.
There are a few people on here I value their opinions, but it likely has nothing to do with them hyping up their records.
The tracker forum is a good start.
The endless posting of picks and records in the individual sports forums with no reasoning or analysis is virtually useless and mucks up the valuable information for the most part.

When it comes to gambling most people are stupid and lazy. It's amazing how the brain just switches off and out comes the belief of crap like 'hot' and 'cold', the 'flow', 'streaks' 'due' etc.

I always wondered myself how people can post tons of picks w/o even one mention of reasoning..

In the horse forum, I post my plays for horse matchups. I use speed figures that few people use due to cost issues. Talking about the methodology in looking at the figures is like talking to a wall, so I'll save myself the time and the typing and just give plays. With the volume of plays I've posted, the numbers speak for themselves.

Labeeb is an example of a poster with a long-standing track record who one could follow. He doesn't get involved in the ego wars and dick-waving and has solid reasoning, I'm sure he would be glad to share if asked.
He also has knowledge in specific industries second to none. A good litmus test for a poster in their knowledge and discipline is how they respond when another poster attacks them. Either they get defensive and counter attack, or use their knowledge and porse to kill them softly.
