It's tough because Mac gave us such a memorable summer. But you know he cheated.

Ripken and Gwynn this year no doubt, Big Mac at a later date when there is a weak class (maybe).

Gwynn, Ripkin, and unfortunatly McGwire will make it.

I'd like to see some more consideration on Jim Rice.

Edit: Also, Blyleven.

-His 15 1-0 wins are 3rd all time behind Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson.
-9th alltime in shutouts.
-Every pitcher with 3000+ K's are in the hall but Blyleven.
-5-1 post-season record with 2.47 post-season ERA.

It really is amazing just how close Harold Baines came to some automatic milestones that would have gotten him elected, look at Baines numbers and you will be surprised...when Baines broke in he was a very good right fielder who could run, imagine that!

Also just saw that 30% of his 250 losses were by 1 run. And 115 of his 250 were by 2 runs or less. If he had some offensive support he would have easily hit 300 wins making him a shoe in.

The problem I have with Blyleven are his poor seasons, I feel like he had too many years where he lost a ton of game, I realize he was a very good pitcher, who pitched on a lot of bad teams, those poor seasons though are hard to overlook.

How is 'Wild' Bobby Witt on the ballot?

142-157 4.83 ERA :ohno:

Wasn't he ridiculous in post season? Could be thinking of somebody else..

Blyleven lost 17 games 4 times and 16 games twice, I think that really hurts him...10 .500 or less seasons.

I wonder if anyone has missed by just one vote?

Buck O'Neil, wasn't he the guy who just missed last year and has since passed away??
