Personally, I learned at a very young age not to play any teasers (the hard way of course). In fact, I simply elimate it as an option.
My question to you however is that I know you are a big fan of NFL teasers. In your opinion, what makes these any better than a basketball teaser?

I have heard the key number is 7 in hoops because it is more than 2 posessions. Teams that are winning that want to put the game away need a 7 point lead because trailing team would need the ball 3 times tie or take the lead. When he says key he is not talking key numbers like in football but a number that seems to hit a little more than most.
Two years ago, I experimented with teasing both sides of two college basketball games at 5 Dimes. Ten point four-team teasers at -120. All I had to do was find two games that I thought had very sharp lines and would land close to the number. I teased a lot of 10 point fav's down to PK and +20. That kind of thing. I had incredible success. But D2Bets is pretty sharp and said that I was still betting at a disadvantage. I don't know. I'm not convinced yet, and may try it again this conference season and see what kind of success I have.
Yeah, it was very situational. 4-team teasers sound hard to hit, and are hard to hit. But when you bet them like I was betting them, they really became a two-game teaser. I just looked at lines where I really felt the number was right on, and the game would probably play out and end real close to either side of the number. I played one a night for about a month, and it seemed easy. I haven't done it since, because it seemed like I was the only one that has ever tried this, and the advice I got was that it was a bad bet. Mathematically, I'm sure it is.
