my brother just called me and said he was listening to the score and heard the cubs offered jason schmidt a 3yr 45 million dollar deal and he is close to accepting. Can anyone confirm this?? thanks
I have been listening to the Score 670 http://www.670thescore.com/and I believe it would be a horrible deal for the Cubs. Just what then need, another pitcher at the very end of his prime, and at 3/$45 mil to boot.
Because that's all he has left in the tank? Unless you believe Schmidt has 5 years left???? Three year deal pays him more - and gets the clubs out of longer contracts that they can't move.
