In Michigan we have 2 drawings a day on the lottery and I play maybe 5 times a year on hunches. I think I won on a boxed play back 15 years ago and know the math behind how bad it is so I really don't ever waste my time or money unless something weird happens and I feel like stopping and playing.

Last Monday nite I had a situation where the number 570 came into my life 3 times in about 1 hour so. On Tuesday morning I went in and played 570 straight and boxed and 1140 (I doubled 570) straight and boxed each for $10 and there are 2 daily drawings, so the amount I played was $80. It was funny because they can only print a $1 ticket at a time and they had to print 80 tickets, so it took about 5 solid minutes. By this time a few degenerates with betting slips in there hand stood behind me and started asking what I played and wanted this "top secret" info, so I told them.

I lost the 1st drawing and the 2nd one (evening) I totally forgot about until the next morning when I was driving to work and then it hit me. After a few calls I got the numbers from my GF (who wasn't to happy about me "wasting" $80 on this but all she had to was look at my Monday plays if she wanted to see "wasting" money) and the numbers from the nite before where 577. I missed by the last number. I would have won $7,500 or so. Thought about playing the next nite but decided I am not big on getting paid 500-1 odds on something that has a 1 in 999 chance of hitting. Just don't understand the infatuation of this game but some people love it and it supports the schools (sure would love to know where all that money is going).

The old Michigan lottery slogan was "Play your hunch, win a bunch"
