Crunch time at 5800+ is really putting the hurt on something, no doubt about that.
The problem is one that arise often in the games industry. Most companies aren't willing to pay for the extra rack space, servers and load distribution software to cope with small bursts of traffic, as all the extra infrastructure would go unused the majority of the time.
