Anyone ever use Western Union to withdrawl 2K or more??

Any reason not to other than the associated fees??

Thanks

Once made a WU withdrawl of twice that and no problems. Instead of getting the cash though, i got WU money orders which i could cash elsewhere or deposit into my bank. This probably depends on how much cash they have in the register at the time. I picked up my cashout from a Kroger. This was over a year ago also, but doubt the new rules would change anything.

Be careful with that as well Cleo. I think they see that as still a WU transaction even though its not a cash out.

A friend of mine used to make a couple of dimes withdrawal on the regular and then Western Union said that he had to supply all of this documentation before he could get anymore large amounts and then he stopped going that route.

In the words of the Metro - Dont be Scared, be prepared.

needs to be less than 900 or 1,000 i believe, otherwise you have to report or they do or something.
i use to break it up into $800 increments!

no it doesn't. I've received 4100 there with no hassles. they gave me 4 individual money orders $1000 ea. i paid attention to this because I was second guessing myself for not breaking it up. This was also around a year ago so unless it's changed

yeah they'll give you a check(s) that way they have a record of your signature when you cash them.

The AG in arizona was siezing any WU over $500 that was going to a certain part of Mexico... so there really is no magic # to stay under.
