Not sure why all the announcers keep harping on Delhomme when the call was absolutely horrific. Deangelo Williams was running on Phily all night,..it was 1st down with a TON OF TIME LEFT. You don't throw a FADE ROUTE ON 1ST DOWN. AS A MATTER OF FACT, YOU DON'T PUT THE BALL IN THE AIR ON 1ST DOWN. Not with that much time left. The way Phily was moving the ball, even if Keshawn caught the ball PHily would of had ample time to move down the field.

Carolina did the same thing vs. Washington. They had well over a minute left and were running the 2 minute offense as if there were two SECONDS left in the game..hurry up, no-huddle? Fox is the one to blame here, not Delhomme..although Delhomme should take some blame..it was a shit pass.

I had Carolina in 2 BIG 3 game teasers as the final leg +7. I don't like leaving a number on 7 solid but I liked that slightly better then Phily with 13.

Carolina didn't deserve the win as their D' played like complete shit..they are much better then they played defensively, but Fox' coaching at the end of the games is costing Carolina some of these games. At Washington the plays were called 40 yards down field with well over a minute left..same shit tonight.....should be an interesting game with the G String Men and Carolina next week though.

I agee with you that the fade was an awful call. in fact its my least favorite call in all of football. however you need to get your facts straight as there was only 30 seconds or so left.

funny call being the DB saw it coming.. he was only playing the fade.. maybe a slant there, it was like a high school coach going to a play that worked earlier.. you cant do that in the pro's, sheppard played his outsdie shoulder the whole time begging to get beat inside

fro11,

Keshawn caught an almost identical pass on the same play earlier in the game. I'm not defending Delhomme because it was a terrible pass, but the call was much worse. Smart coaching would of been to run the ball on 1st "maybe" 2nd down. If you don't punch it in on 1st, maybe some play action on 2nd, but at least run more clock off. There was still enough time for Phily to get a decent return and the way they were moving the ball 45 seconds would of been enough time to go downt he field and get a winning TD.

Clock management and the play calling vs. the Redskins and tonight are almost as bad as it could possibly be.

they got burnt on the fade in the 1st half to KJ, going back to it again was weak since philly guessed the same thing.. bad play calling by a OC on the hot seat

I don't blame their OC "Henning" as much as Fox. At any juncture in a game, (especially critical points of the game) the head coach can and will override a coordinator's play call for one they feel more comfortable with. It's not a slap in your coordinator's face..you're the head coach, you're the boss, you get paid to make those decisions.

You look at the last two Carolina games and the inexplicable clock management and play calling and it is easy to see there's much more blame to go around then to just Delhomme.

Philly needed that win, especially at home.
