Any word on which pitchers the Rays would be getting? I love Rocco, and would hate to see him go, but good Lord we need pitching and the Marlins have some.

No way they trade CC if they move Rocco, imo. What little fan base there is here would bail if they move Carl, me included.

Have you seen Tampa's pitching staff? Then you'd know why. Tampa has good, young and cheap hitters stock piling in AAA and there current MLB roster. What they dont have is pitching.

This is what i last heard:

The St. Petersburg Times has the Braves, Orioles and Dodgers involved in talks with the Rays regarding Rocco Baldelli.
The paper says the Braves could offer Chuck James and the Orioles could propose some combination of Daniel Cabrera, Adam Loewen and Hayden Penn. Also, there's the rumor of a three-team deal sending Baldelli to Atlanta, Andruw Jones to the Dodgers and young pitchers from both teams to Tampa Bay.
