spent 400$ on her bday..am i an asshole?

Guys ...How much do u spend on Your galfriend's b day ? What's the proper amount ? I Bought a gift card to abercrombie n Fitch / Nieman n Marcus ....2 gift cards totaling 400 bucks for her and her child s b day also comin up in a week or so .....I figure I kill two Birds in one stone And Stiff her on christmas ...what do u guys think ? what is the appropriate amount ? Am i An asshole for spendin 400 or am I an asshole Period ??? Serious replies only ....after this browns loss, i'm not feelin too good.:smoking:

I don't see how spending TOO much on your girlfriend would make you an asshole.

You might be able to get away with stiffing her on Xmas because of your b'day gift, if you let her know in advance, but for God's sake, do not, I repeat, DO NOT stiff the kid on Xmas Day! If you make Xmas Day all about her kid then you will get away with stiffing her but still be golden in her books because you gave her child a good spoil.

2) never give a girlfriend a gift card
3) buy her something small for x-mas atleast
4) if she's a keeper its the thought that counts

i know gift cards are a bit impersonal , but i hate shopin for clothes that might not fit .... she'll appreciate it regardless...she better !!!!

i actually like the idea about giving gift cards, i did last year and will this year. it's to there favorite store so they can spend it on whatever and don't have to worry about going through the hassles of buying something and returns, etc.
