Jermain Taylor by KO, TKO or DQ -131 (Pinnacle)

Risking 6.55 units to win 5 units

This fight is a physical mismatch. Ouma has never fought at 160 and Taylor could easily fill up to 175 if he wanted. Taylor also has the general-purpose style needed to get rid of smaller opponents without taking much risk.

Couple of knockdowns followed by a referee stoppage around the 6th.

This is probably the most risk I've ever taken on a single fight... I'm confident that the oddsmakers and public are underestimating the size factor here.

I plan on hitting inside the distance pretty hard in a minute as I agree Matt. The oddsmaker are off here with the potential size mismatch.

Matt - couldn't have said it better myself. Jermain is a big middleweight, and Kassim should have stuck around at 154. There are plenty of big fights to be had at jr. mid. against smaller fighters. I think Jermain puts a show on for the home crowd. Taylor by KO, TKO, DQ -131 (Pinnacle)

Guess I'm going to be the contrarian on this fight. Taylor has ALL the physical advantages. That being said, I expect him to just paw away with his jab all night long and stash rounds in the bank. My concern is how Ouma takes a 160 punch. However Taylor is hardly a big hitter at 160. I'm going to wait right up till fight time to take Taylor by decision and over 10.5

Labeeb, Taylor is no Hopkins... you've never seen him "paw away" with the jab and be content with winning rounds. He'll throw huge 1-2's all night long. He has excellent power at 160 - it doesn't seem so because he has faced two defensive masters in his last 3 fights.

If Ouma goes 12, it'll be a feat.

Ouma will press and cause the action because that's the only way he knows how to fight and will get KOed or TKOed because of this and the size disadvantage IMO.

I agree that Ouma will press to make the fight, but I don't see Taylor as a hard hitter at 160. The fight that said that for me was the Joppy fight. Always was an easy target to hit. Built exactly like Ouma and had to press matters. Didn't win a round and went down once I believe. For me it was going to be a tiny value play. Nothing more than 1/2 unit.

As posted in last weeks thread I have a pending parlay with Taylor as the kicker at -230 odds...just a small to medium bet

After having a huge last week, I've gotten kicked around a little this week including another bad beat on a heavy favorite. I bet the Over in the Morris-Simpson fight at -330 and a nasty cut opened up on Morris costing me what would've been a sure winner. Just a small play but at those odds it hurt a little.

Also lost a small play on the Williams-Harrison Over at -150. Willimas weighed in at 267 which was 20 lbs lower than his last fight with Skelton and 5 lbs lighter than his last fight with Harrison. Both of those fights went the distance, but this time Williams showed up in shape and got knocked out...?...go figure. Harrison is one of the most innactive fighters I've ever seen, he was outworked by Dominic Guinn not long ago lol, but he chose today to finally come out of his shell. Oh well

Tough beat on Williams-Harrison... that was surprising as hell. It all happened because Williams got cut early - from there, he went for the hail mary and paid the price.

I think there's a good chance Taylor stops him, Ouma's style sets him up to get hit early and often. Ouma has been stopped before and he's been dropped a few times since then by decent punchers at 154, Taylor is a decent puncher at 160 and is very strong at that weight. Ouma admits that he could make 147 if he had to so there's a huge size difference here.

I decided not to play the ko prop and went with the parlay just in case Ouma weathered the early storm and lasted the distance. Ouma's defense is horrible but he's as tough as they come.

Taylor is worrying so much about this KO, he looks like a total amateur in there.

Taylor looks wild as hell but when he's connecting he's moving Ouma with the punches. Did you get you decision bet in Lab?

I'm sorry but Taylor's fightplan for this fight is pathetic so far. He;s letting Ouma crowd him and not stand his ground.
