Here is the scoop. Me and my girlfiend live in a 1,500 square foot ranch home in a quite subdivision with a fenced in back yard. Last Christmas we got our 2nd dog (no kids) and she is the best dog in the world. We love our 2 dogs (brittany spaniel and a german shephard both girls) more than anyone can love their dogs. We are HUGE dog lovers. These 2 share everything with us (meals, beds, walks, etc...).

Here is the deal. I found out about this part pit bull, part dalmation that the owners leave outside all day but still care for but don't really want. They bring it in too sleep. It is not on a chain, so overall it looks okay with it's situation. I was asked if we want it. Seems a little timid around males but overall a god dog from what I take.

Not sure if 3 would be a crowd. Espicially all 3 meidium sized or above dogs(40+ pounds each). I have looked everything over and seems just a little too much. Still debating on it as there is no rush but was wondering if anyone else has this setup. My house may be a tad too small for all this commotion. Need advice!!!

ive also got 2 females, if I get a third it will be male.....

the "clean up" is the primary reason that I am holding back, primarly the lovely messes they leave in the back yard, but also, hair around the house.....

already have to vacuum, sweep and mop every 2 days with 2 dogs.....

I have 4 dogs all in the 60-80lb range......All rescued out of one situation or another.......My home is a bigger than yours and I have a good size backyard for them.......But looking at the situation....Even if I lived in a small Apt, I would still have all 4 of them and they would still be just has happy as they are now.....I would just have to walk them much more for exercise.....

I WISH I were back down to three dogs. Have 7 now. 2 of the three got together and had 9 pups. Gave 4 away and go stuck with the rest. Here it is 4 years later and I just wish I had 3. When we had 3 we could go to Vegas every 3-4 weeks during football season and stay at a LaQuinta Inn that allowed dogs.

Now anytime we have to go away, we need a dog sitter or board them....which we'll never do again...and it gets expensive.

I can understand that the other dog you feel isn't being treated right...in your eyes...and you could give it a good home. But it's not having a bad deal where it lives now and should be left there. Unless the other owner is going to give it up to the pound, I would leave it right where it is!

I say go for it! If you can afford it then sure!

I am a dog lover. I have 4 (1 big, 1 med and 2 small). 2 I rescued and 2 were purchased because I couldn't say no. I no longer go into pet stores that sell puppies.
