Is it advantageous to fund your balance with credit cards?

Hey Everyone,

I'm curious is it more beneficial to fund your sportsbook balance with a credit card than your own money? Provided that I have the credited amount in my bank (so I can pay it off right away if necessary), it just seems that funding with a credit card is more beneficial. Especially now days when credit companies offer fraud protection and tons of cashback and reward points for online purchases.

Maybe I'm just new at Sportsbetting and this is a common practice. I would love to hear your guy's opinions on this topic.

If you get points\miles\kickbacks on the card, it can be an awesome deal as long as you pay them off immediately.

Thats what I figured. It makes me wonder if using credit cards (the right way) is the ideal way to fund your account if you intend to whore the sportsbook bonuses. Especially since in this case you're whoring the sportsbooks and the credit card company :puppy: . I would appreciate if some of the big time Sportsbook bonus players can chime in on this subject.

unless you are one of the very rare ones that would pay off that 2000$ deposit off right away if you used your CC to dep and LOST it on a bet then its NOT a good idea at all

to easy to lose your dep and then pay thru the NOSE the min payment to your CC company for YEARS on just that loss

it can be a big winfall if done right, one obstacle you will face is that many sportsbooks do not give bonuses on any CC deposits, other books require a 30 day hold for withdrawls, and you have to fax in your card and other ID.

you will also find there are some troubles getting the cards approved, for me, only one of my credit cards actually works at sportsbooks.

I only use debit when i do sportsbook deposits. I use my bank debit card. I like it because I don't have to wait for withdraws and they will transfer it to my neteller account.

I was thinking of using my neteller account to fund bonus sportsbook sites and then using credit card to fund the "other end of the bet" sites like Pinnacle and Mansion. I notice Pinnacle does have a troublesome Credit Card identification process but with its security and reputation, it might be worth the trouble.

my credit cards never allowed the transactions I tried to process at sportsbooks. they know where the money is going and deny it.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat(and have been for a while). When it worked, there was nothing easier or faster than my debit card. :nopityA:

Step 1 - Get 0 interest credit card 1
Step 2 - Charge $X on credit card 2 that gives you points/miles
Step 3 - Transfer balance from card 2 to card 1

You get to enjoy the miles/points, and don't have to pay off the 0 interest credit cards for 6+ months depending on what your terms are.

Apparently some books feel that Neteller deposits are a sign that you're "sharp." I've been switched to books's sharp set of lines immediately after depositing by Neteller, and I've read the same thing has happened to other people.
