Vegas question.

How dead do you think it's going to be Thursday Dec 21 to the 26th?

Have nothing going on and was thinking of hanging out by the pool at the Palms or should I go to the Hard Rock?

ok...good luck. i am serious though...i dont like people to be alone on christmas. it bothers me. my wife wont mind either. we are in the northwest suburbs of chicago. if you change your mind, let me know.

If I'm not mistaken, the Hard Rock pool is heated year round. The Palms probably is also. Hanukah is no special holiday like others like Passover or Rosh Hashana.

It used to be that Vegas was really dead during that period, but everyone now takes advantage of all the deals and goes on there a lot during that time. I know that the highly tipped help used to take that time of the year off since it was so slow. But now in SoCal which is a short 4-5 hour drive away or 1 hour by air, people unwrap the presents and say "LET'S GO TO VEGAS!"

I used to go to Vegas every Xmas day and leave the 28th or so---Xmas day is pretty slow--but I agree with stuck--it can get packed anytime.

I actually looked up the lyrics the other day. Didn't know he was saying "Soy un perdedor" every time in the song which means "I'm a loser" in Spanish.

Serious answer,
Tony that week is historically very dead in Vegas. It likely won't really pick up until the 28th. I know occupancy rates are projected very low for that week.

I'm hearing from different people now that it's not as bad as you think. The girl at the Palms said they're have a decent booking for that weekend and my plane is full already.
