After this guy goes of on this extremely bogus rant, Jacksonville comes along and i guess they decided to "hide" their quarterback too?

I'll give you that Hodge seems to not like VY that much but he didn't say anything there really that was that bad.

He said the Titans focus on the run and hide their QB as much as possible. They do that.

5th in the league in rushing, 2nd to last in passing.

That's hiding your QB. Vince doesn't throw much.

If Jaworski said that I don't think you'd have a problem. Like Hodge seems to have something personal against Vince, you seem to have something personal against Hodge. He's right and you half to see through his possible one-sidedness on the issue and realize what he said was right.

Titans run, they don't pass. In essence, they "hide" their QB. Same goes for Atlanta for the most part.

Isnt the what you are supposed to do for a young QB. Or maybe they should be doing the John Gruden style and let him pass 45 times a game and burn out his confidence.

That not a shot at Vince it is just reality on a good coach not letting Vince have to many horrible days.

You couldnt have said it better man. Its almost as if some folks expect a rookie fresh out of college to have to throw 40 times a game. Especially when the team is leading the league in rushing yards.

Hoge chooses to use the colts game to make the stupid assertion that the titans are hiding Vince young. Which any one can now see is stupid.

Garrard of the jaguars went 8-14 for a mere 79 yards while Peyton went
25-50 for 313 yards...and the jaguars took the big win because thanks to the titans, they figured out the best way to beat peyton manning..

BTw, Vince young is at over 60% completion rate in his last 3 games and his wide recievers had some dropes too. (DRew bennett dropped a 40-50 yard pass where he was wide open)

Vince youngs stats were 19-29 for 218, and team total rushing of 200 yards. Any coach in the league would tell you that this is the perfect balance that every team looks for week in week out...(by the way David
Carr who has been in the league 5 years went 17-23 for 140 any one taking bets on if this guy will be at texas next year?

this rookie is learning really fast and being managed by the best coach for the job in the whole league. Norm chow and jeff fisher are 10 times smarter than the entire crew up in Atlanta with that other rushing QB whatshisname and they have Young in the perfect system bringing him along better than any other rookie league wide.

Remember...he is just a rookie who has won 6 of his last 8 games and the only rookie Qb with a winning record in the league.

I Don`t Like Hodge, MV, or VY

or for that matter anyone who is stupid. Besides these 3 there are many others who qualify. I DO agree that Young is being handled in the right way. Say what you will neither Bradshaw or Marino were Mensa candidates, but they became great QB`s. ESPN has so many idiots on the air it`s ridiculous. Besides Hodge, Irvin, S. Scott, the list just goes on & on. But I still watch & always will I guess. VY may become a great one, don`t think Vick ever will. Jusy my HO! :)

Espn Is Hiding Hoge Not Highlighting Him...

oooooooooh the irony of it all..

today on NFL live, (missed it) but i heard that when they played VY highlights, Merrill Hoge was quiet and did not say one word about him..

Talk about silencing the critics...

then in the top 10 highlights, the guys on the show spent the segment ragging on Merrill hoge when the VY highlight came up!!!

I will try to find clips and post it.
