Iverson Trade to the Celts: Opinions!

Am I out of my mind to think this is a Horrible potential trade for the Celtics. The rumore is the Celts get AI for

Telfair
Ratliff
West
Jefferson
and maybe one more player

What bothers me is Jefferson and Jefferson only. He is going to be good and is young frontcourt player. To give up all this talent for a guy on the downside of his career with a big salary when your team stinks in the first place, does not maker a lot of sense to me. Horrible trade for the Celts and good trade for the Sixers. Ainge is in trouble and may do this to save face giving Pierce and AI a chance to make the playoffs this year.

OMG that's horrible for Philly if it's true. They'd have to cut 4 guys right away wouldn't they??

Having to cut 4 players from that dogshit team is a bad thing? There's hardly 4 players I'd want to hand onto.

Celts will suck with or w/o AI. Pierce just mailing it in these days, just playing for his 25+ points. Maybe AI could light a fire under him.

I'm only saying that in regard to the salary cap. I'm not sure how that works.

I guess Iverson's contract would be able to cover 9 player's contracts.

Nice trade for Philly, if Jefferson ever gets it together, he is young, only his 3rd year, he has the potential to be a really good PF. He dropped 28 and 13 on the Nets last night, he is the center piece to this deal, add in West, I don't know why Philly would want Telfair though, but he has some real potential too. Good trade for Philly, Celtics gave away Brandon Roy for Taelfair ! By trading away their pick. Ainge really doesn't know what he's doing anymore, how will Pierce and Iverson get enough shots? Their both ball hogs. Iverson to Mineesota made the most sense to pair him up with KG.

Why would Philly want another big contract with Bibby??? They want young players and expiring contracts.

Unless Sac wants to offer up K-Mart....

You have to take on someone with a large salary to trade for AI, that's the only way a deal can get done...

Exactly that's why they wouldn't do a trade with the Kings, at least with the Celtics trade you get Ratliff's huge expring contract and some nice young players. Best trade I have seen for Sixers, they should run with that one even without a 1st round pick, take it and run.

Better yet, take out Telfair and get a 1st round pick instead.
