This guy is incredible. He's a heavyweight and is easily the 2nd best in the world right behind Fedor.

He's like Chuck Lidell but his knockouts are generally done with left high kicks. He's exciting as hell and will knock out anyone in the UFC HW division at any given time.

If it's happening, it will happen on Ultimate Fight Night tonight on Spike. Don't miss it as this guy will bring exciting fights and is truly great. If you like Chuck's fights, you'll like Mirko's.

This deal has been inked brother. Wanderlei there never was a deal and the two sides couldn't agree. Crocop cancelled his NYE Pride show and has put the announcement off until tomorrow. Just so happens to be UFN. If Crocop were staying in Pride would he have canceled the show and put off his announcement a few days even though on his website he posted that his decision was made days ago...

They just signed Quinton Jackson, Matt Lindland, Heath Herrig, Mayhem Miller, and a slew of others.

This is going to be the UFC's greatest day to date. I honestly believe there is a 95% chance they announce Mirko tomorrow.

Please show me this article or forum where you read this. If it's some guy who got the information off of someone's shoulder. :lolBIG:. Mirko cancelled his Pride NYE show because he complained of ankle injury. It's confirmed that UFC has bought up WFA fighter's contracts. I'm not trying to poke at your information, but please come up with some credible sources. At any rate, Crocop still has a fight with Pride that needs to be fulfilled.

Haha I read the Sherdog thread you were talking about and that's definately not it haha although the thread was funny. It's from a Croation newspaper. I don't have a link and don't speak Croation so I doubt the link would do much good.

Just wait and see... I think it happens tomorrow. Why would he pick that day and not just announce it already if he were returning to Pride? Crocop has said he wants to star in movies... USA seems like the fit for him.

haha, that thread was funny, at any rate, I don't care where he goes, as long as he's fighting good competition. In the UFC I don't see that happening, unless the UFC acquires more HW's worth a shit.

Let's make some money, jakethompson. discuss UFN 8 in another thread if you want.

On Karo, Diego, and Joslin. Here's some stuff I wrote earlier when capping:

Picks:

Steve Byrnes over Logan Clark (submission)
Brock Larson over Keith Nakamura (submission)
Luigi Fioravanti over Dave Menne (TKO)
Jorge Santiago over Alan Belcher (decision)
David Heath over Victor Valimaki (TKO)
Shonie Carter over Marcus Davis (decision)
Karo Parisyan over Drew Fickett (decision)
Jeff Joslin over Josh Koscheck (KO)
Diego Sanchez over Joe Riggs (TKO)

Bets:

Some matches have no lines.

Karo Parisyan -396

Karo is just on a whole nother level than Fickett. If Karo doesn't submit him at some point he'll dominate the rounds and win a unanimous decision. This one should be easy and Karo should be -550 or so.

Jeff Joslin +259

Koscheck's style is lay and pray and I can't see him taking down Joslin with any ease. Joslin has nice takedown defense and I think Koscheck is going to run into a powerful punch of knee trying for a takedown.

Diego Sanchez -406

I should know better than to lay the big juice here since Arvloski bit me big time but I see no way for Diego to lose. Riggs is horrible against wrestlers and has very little submission defense. He likes to punch and that's it really. Diego should take him down like he has with other punchers and either submit him or just throw bombs till the fight is called. Fight will end with Diego on top most likely.

would be great, but I feel he's using this to get more $ from pride.

Koscheck by sub/TKO imo. Great athlete with improving standup skills, I think he takes this easily. good luck.

I agree with all your bets but I wouldn't lay a lot on Diego. You are absolutely right in that I believe he will win too. Maybe to win 1 unit with Diego but that's about it. I think Karo is the better bet here against Fickett. Karo is one of those fighters that is damn hard to take out and if he gets top control on you, it's a very long night. Joslin is a fighter that is underlooked imho. Joslin will judge the pace of this fight. Do I think Koscheck will take Joslin down, yeah, I can see it happening, but Joslin is no slouch on the ground, and will continue to work the submissions and positions. At these odds I would bet some on Joslin til he's like +190 and +200. Make no mistake about this, Joslin is the best fighter Kos has yet to face.

Agreed 100%. Joslin should have won the decision over Fitch and if he had, he'd be being talked about as the next big thing right now and not Jon Fitch.
