Seems like the practice of many on here nowadays who bump their threads when they win and leave their threads to die and hopefully forgetten about following a lost...

Almost all the time it's someone who doesn't post a record or someone who posts a record without including units...

Anyone else notice this going on a lot here..

I don't go into many of the individual forums much, but I have noticed more people talking about this phenomenon more if nothing else. So evidently some people are definitely noticing. I'm guessing every football season brings it about with all sorts of characters coming out from the woodwork.

notice it as well, doesn't bother me....seems they are looking for approval and a pat on the back maybe? i also hate when someone has a bad day and an agenda driven poster bumps up the losing thread to rub it in, that really pisses me off!!! i guess some of the old guys are feeling overwhelmed by a newbie coming in, catching fire, and garnering all the attention. seems some of the chest thumpers catch all the breaks early and become invisible as soon as it turns.

No I notice long time posters here, bumping their own threads when they win and letting them die out when they lose..

LOL specially in the NBA forum.....Then they go away for a while like if you're gonna forget all the units they've lost.Start the season posting records, Then they lose it all and the record which was being tracked when winning..is no longer there.LOL!

Same here Teaze, the other night a respected capper here had a great week but lost a night game big, and there were at least 5 different posters bumping the thread up just to rub in a loss, I mean are these guys serious with that shit? And yeah, some guys like to bump their threads if they have a good night, not a real big deal to me, but I can see how it could bother some people.

i tend to bump some guys threads that don't get any props. anyone think this is wrong? just trying to let them know someone is looking at their positive contribution.

Simply put, decent guys don't want anyone to lose on their picks. So, hopefully leaving the thread alone may make the idea better that tomorrow's another day for anybody that actually followed him.

Now, if they kept on disappearing and coming back with a new record, that's bush league.

I'm guilty of it sometimes. I'm excited when I win and am motived to update the record. When I lose I just get pissed, close the screen and don't even think about updating anything.

One poster in particular I know does this...and I have no problem with it whatsoever. He only does it to posters who are notorious for bumping their own threads multiple times. Yet strangely enough, they're MIA when they have a losing night.

If posters are shameless enough to bump their own threads strictly for the purpose of getting props, then they certainly shouldn't be extended the courtesy of flying under the radar when they lose.

Can't have it both ways, IMO.

I respect posters who update their picks threads win OR lose. Not ones who do it just when they win. If you want the attention, be man enough to handle it when you have a poor night as well.

Seems to me that the easy thing to do is ignore the threads.

All this drama...why? Who gives a shit about that...only real problem is with cappers that lie about their records...now that is something to bitch about.

Hell there are people here that have to increase the font size in their threads...and have flashing lights and all the bells and whistles...no big deal...they are happy they had a big day and are expressing that...IMO.
