From what i've heard it would be Jason Williams (off the books for 08), James Posey (off the books in 07), Michael Doleac (off the books in 07), Wayne Simien, Earl Barron, and a pick for AI and Sam Dalenbert

this is just a rumor i've heard swirling around

heres a story on what RILES said

http://www.nbcsports.com/nba/638692/detail.html?dest=rss|

this trade may seem a little lopsided towards the heat right now, but from what i've heard it gets two things done for Philly. They will get 3 expiring contracts move two huge contracts, and acuire two solid young players that can be developed , and a late round first rounder.

Only if the Sixers are stupid. That's a horrible deal.

And I think AI is very overrated. I could name 20-25 players I'd take over him.

And it's still a horrible deal for Philly.

probably true. But out of curiosity, can you name 10 guards better than him?

bonerific

A.I. and Wade?

dont forget shaq

although his skills have diminshed...he is still a big man that demands attention, draws some double teams, clogs the middle on defense, and makes alonzo a high energy impact player off the bench instead of a "pace-yourself, captain kidney" kind of guy

i was thinking about a trade all along but i dont know who the 76ers would want from the heat...riley doesnt like his team right now and he has been known to pull off big deals

still...i cant see this happening

Philly gets what two younf players that look solid? I don't see why Philly would do that other than the expiring contracts.

I am all for it as long as the Heat do not have to give away Udonis Haslem. I know it sounds crazy, but that is how I feel.

Shaq's minutes are down, he likes to take it easy during the regular season and step up in the post season, nothing wrong with that if it could give you couple of years more to your career. He's old, no doubt about that. But he really makes Wade a better player because of the attention.

That would make for a great team to watch in Miami.

Starting line up would be pretty sick...

Center - Shaq
PF - Zo
SF - A Walker
G - D Wade
G - Iverson

And of course Payton to come off the bench.

I doubt that would really be the line up considering Wright and Kapano have been getting starts.

The NBA is all about team chemistry and players that fill a role. Too many scorers is not good. I know that sounds crazy, but look at the Lakers when they had The Mailman, Kobe, Shaq, and GP. There are not enough shots to go around and players of AI and Wade's stature do not know how to become role players.

That would be one TERRIBLE shooting team.

It's a fair comment, and it applies to a lot of team sports, as long as team don't use it as an excuse. I think you need balance + chemistry.

I think the Knicks might be a better example than the Lakers that year, that was a good team, they beat San Antonio, or tied if there was a winner in that wonderful series. lost to a Detroit team, a great team with chemistry but hasn't won a championship since.

It could work out as long as Iverson was willing to average 15-20 points a game and accept his role as third option when the playoffs start - he would have to really play point guard for once - that lineup would really lack shooting though - your basically elimintating the three point shot - sure Walker would jack up 5 a game and make one.

And who wants Williams at this point - the guy has a serious tendonitis problem - and it gets worse every day he gets older.

I think everyone in the NBA except for AI is overrated, because I haven't watched anyone else night in and night out like I've watched AI.

I dislike people who say this and that, but in reality don't know what thier talking about..

I guess everyone has thier opinion.

I don't ever recall Iverson just mailing in a game. He always plays his heart out.

Why is it all the kids like guys like Iverson and McGrady but don't like guts like Duncan, Brand and Billups?

Winning in basketball is not about who makes the toughest shot - it's about getting players easy shots - it about getting the ball deep in the paint to Shaq or kicking out to a wide open Brent Barry - it's not about a 5-11 guy hogging the ball and making a few spectacular shots with over Yoa Ming - that's makes great highlights and lots of L's
