going under quite frequently recently!

I know that historically the televised games go under for various reasons, but it seems this year that both the ncaa and nba nationally televised games are going under often.

I always play unders in both football and baskets and very rarely play overs so I am just letting those know that might be interested what is happening this year. I have not been tracking so I do not have any real numbers to give you, but I can tell you that I have been playing and winning the unders this year.

Watch and see for yourself. Just a heads up for everyone.

What are the various reasons in your opinion that TV games go under? I've never heard this one.

its televised therefore peeps are more likely to play overs.
There are t.v timeouts that affect the rythm of the game.
Often times college coaches will shorten games by utilizing their timeouts around the t.v. timeouts.

okay, but there are no games anymore that don't stop the clock at the under 16, 12, 8 and 4 minute mark....interesting angle.

that is what i am saying. combine regular timeouts with t.v. timeouts and you can really break the flow of a game and essentially shorten the game

P.P.E., for your info, they are called media timeouts and even though lets say an Austin Peay vs. Tenn. Tech isn't on TV, the under 16, 12, 8, and 4 will still happen.

I agree with the TV games may have more value on the over since it is televised but the effect on the (percieved) extra timouts is negligible at best.

How is the game shortened? The only way to shorten a game is by using the shot clock, not calling time outs around media time outs.
